No it's not and I'll tell you why and what the big difference is this season to last season. Last season we were never a minimum of 8 points ahead of 3 Champions League contenders. We could have a dip in form and still be in the top 4. The top of the table was a lot closer last season.

I agree with the others - following an international break and going into our next run of games, a win is important to establish the momentum isn't broken. Also important to win against a team in this poor vein of form AND get away wins under our belt. The more away wins we get at this stage, the more home games against same opposition we have to come later on at the business end. Can't work out whether the extra few days' recovery and training will outweigh the throwing of the regular habitual Saturday afternoon game: will TV and Monday night throw us? Can we do it on a west Monday night in Birmingham? The type of game where Delph fires home a 40 yard screamer, or Agbonlahor scores a freak wondergoal and returns to zero form again for the remainder of the season.

I'm starting to look at the non-traditional top six teams below us as the supporting riders in the Tour De France; looking to support us by playing above themselves and taking points of our competitors to help us blow everything at the top open! Wishful thinking, I know, but I look to those teams for help every week on Final Score.

And I do think that by Swansea and West Ham being up there too, they are genuinely playing for a high finish, and raising their game accordingly against the bigger teams, who they are no longer scared of. West Ham may well struggle during the ACON, as they'll lose three of their arguably most important players.

Actually, think such a peleton is what I meant to base my change in username on - that front pack of cyclists, using slipstream to improve their efficiency. As well as the purposeful extra 'l', I inadvertently added the 'r', which seems to describe an electrostatic particle accelerator instead.

Unless, of course, a 'Pelletron' is a suave Higgs Boson - essential for producing mass, but with perfect hair:afro:
