I totally agree. I think it was Wanyama's best ever performance for us. But....... 0-0 pre Cork. 2-0 post Cork. Thats stats. for you
Just watched the goals...again ...lovely ball from Wanyama into the path of Long. Victor showing he is more than the brick wall in front of the defence.
He looks uncomfortable on Goals on Sunday...glad they are asking him some direct questions...he'd never have the confidence to interrupt.
Wanyama has improved massively since he first came to us and recently I've been most impressed. Have to say as much as I rate Cork, Wanyama is first choice now.
Yeah, wanyama has come on leaps and bounds with more freedom. Leaving Morgan to do most of the defensive stewardship seems to be working a treat. Although there is no doubt that Vic has improved technically as well. I'm 99% certain that Koeman is a wizard
Yes, right from the off this season, Vic looked a bit lighter on his feet, and sharper all round. Lets face it, our midfield is fantastic with the options we have. Haven't seen much of the game apart from MOTD, as out on family commitments yesterday, so hoping it appears on football origin.
I was surprised when they said Wanyama was going to be on GoS, he's not the sort of person I'd book for that show. He's too quiet and shy.
I love Wanyama, one of our best players, showed glimpses of his class last season and then had a lengthy lay off over Christmas which he never really recovered from afterwards. He does look awkward on GOS, such a big man and a brute on the pitch, but as soon as he starts talking he's so softly spoken that he sounds like he couldn't hurt a fly!
Keep remembering him saying that he doesn't use a lot of products because the ladeeees are still attracted
We have such a solid midfield. The best in the league? Possibly. I'd really like to see Corky offered a contract extension. The dynamics we have in our 3 main DM's is great. They're all dependable, know our game inside out and fit right in. Not sure you can so easily improve on that.
We have to keep all our midfielders in the summer, they're all vital to the team and have a part to play.
I would like to keep Cork, but we don't have to keep him. If we keep Morgan and Wanyama we'll be more in need of all-round midfielders who can create and score. Cork will, undoubtedly, become an increasingly marginal figure as Reed and Prowse come through, even without thinking about new players.
I will be amazed if Schneiderlin stays. Even if we finish top 6, I'm convinced he will be off in the summer. Which would leave room for Cork. Unless our scouting department decides to do what they do best and find another gem!
Does anyone think there is a chance that Morgan will stay if we (fingers and toes crossed) finish in the top 4!?
