Ditto regarding Smalling, but encouraged that Clyne and Berahino are in squad as both are doing well this season. And none of ours impressed when Woy actually turned up to one of our games.

I thought Livermore had a very good game.

Maybe, but they were certainly bloody better than Smalling or Carrick have been.

I'd like to think a fit Dawson would have been in that squad...

Livermore is so off Woy's radar, but yes I do agree he would do a better job than Carrick, and Smalling showed what a stupid gangling liability he is on Sunday.

    Not great is it.

Smalling has been injured half the season and ****e when he's played. Carrick is always **** for England and neither he nor Walcott should be in since they aren't even playing regularly for their clubs yet. Room for three left backs while we're short at either RB or CB depending on which you count Chambers as.

I agree with picking Lambert cos he's a quality player. He was picked all last season too, so it's obviously not about who he plays for.

I'm astonished Smalling's in the squad. I know Roy's a ****, but to pick Smalling after that performance against Man City is just ridiculous.

He's the worst player to ever play for England.

Smalling is actually fairly decent on the ball and is an all round good defender.

What Davies lacks in quality he makes up for in leadership and effort.

Difficult to say who is better but you'd think Davies or anyone else would get a chance after Smalling's performance in the derby...

Does anyone really care anymore ? A piss easy group that most of the championship clubs could beat.

Only when England can beat anyone decent either in the euro finals or world cup finals will the country as a whole get excited once again.

    What messenger? You said:

'If the England squad was picked on performance, and not reputation...
This is what it would look like:

    Forster
    Clyne -- Cahill -- Jagielka -- Baines
    Sterling -- Henderson -- Noble -- Downing
    Austin -- Berainho

Wouldn't mind seeing that team actually...'

There is no messenger there, you dont say 'according to' or 'claims the Mail via EA'. Its posted as your opinion / fact and then a link added on to the bottom.

England are doomed, so many players shouldn't be in the squad never mind the team. Leighton Baines for starters was terrible at the World Cup and that should have been the end of him, any proper manager would not have picked him again. Jagielka might be fast but he's another in the long line of Upson types, gets picked but really is not an England player unless the manager is bad. Carrick hasn't played all season and I haven't looked but am guessing Ricky Lambert has been picked. I don't understand why he would take a chance on Berahino yet still keep picking deadwood and players that have failed. What is the point of qualifying for anything when we will get smashed off the park by any decent team thanks to having a manager like Hodgson

    3 left backs? Smalling? Carrick?

Surely Huddlestone has to just give up now.
