He's responded on mine:

"I have never told anyone in my life that they were “beaten with the ugly stick” and never will as I prefer to keep my insults much less manifest/cliché. I don’t work Sundays (no need to call ahead to check if I am not working now) nor do I find interesting/accurate the parallel you have drawn regarding mine own and Benito Mussolini’s behaviour (or am I Adolf Hitler?). Finally, Richard Branson should definitely consider giving you a job. I understand he may be looking for a new test pilot for his space tourism project. If you need a reference then don’t hesitate to ask. I only hope you are as successful as the last one. "

5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2014 NEW

As a resident of Northern Ireland I was looking forward to my trip across the water to the fine, upstanding and staunch cultural epicentre that we know as the dear green(sic) place - Glasgow.
Arriving not so fresh off the ferry we found ourselves a most remarkable place to dine - Qua, in Ingram Street.

We were greeted warmly by our host and upon removing our balaclavas found the atmosphere warm and inviting. The food was quite exquisite and our group could find little fault with the fare on offer. A personal highlight was the mussels cooked to perfection with just the right orange hue. At the end of the meal I also thoroughly enjoyed the fine coffee perfectly complemented with the - I`m presuming - home baked Garibaldi. The revolutionary biscuits of Italy have rarely been so reverentially celebrated. Overall the quality of the food and untypically Italian attention to service were so superb that it seems almost churlish to mention that I felt my linguine was more Il Dulce than Al Dente, but , as Joe Dolce might say - Its a nice a place, shaddap a ya face.

QuaRestaurant, Manager at Qua Italian Restaurant, responded to this review, yesterday

After reading your latest "contribution" (5+ in a week now from the same person using newly created accounts who seems to click his own reviews as being helpful) it is clear to me that you should seek professional help (online version of multiple personality disorder?). You also appear to think you are amusing/interesting.
By the way, may I highlight to you that one should only ever use “[sic]” immediately after or as part of a quote. Let me now give you a proper example: uninteresting tripadvisor reviewer benito m embarrassingly appeared not to know how to spell/pronounce Benito Mussolini’s moniker (“Il Duce”) when stating in his review that his “linguine was more Il Dulce [sic] than Al Dente”.
You’re not half as clever as you think you are.

Someone should submit a review with the heading: 'I Can See Why This Establishment Is Languishing In 70th Place'

It really is time to give Paolo this URL so he can come on here and go beelistic. <laugh>

La Lanterna is rated the best wop grub in Glasgow so i may need to drop a hint to Paolo that they are mocking him.

It's clearly a very, very nice restaurant but there is some problem which keeps getting people to leave off colour reviews. If only i knew what that problem was.....
