East Yorkshire, haddock with skin on? Where? Nearly everywhere I have been in East Yorkshire doesn't have skin on. Thank heaven.
My old mate off longhill used to leave the skin while last then roll it up and eat it! :-(I always used to enjoy cod but last year it's been haddock. Don't mind either tbh. But, no skin. Why would you want the skin on ffs?
Obviously mayo on the chips....![]()
Haddock obviously.
Eating cod is like being a glory hunter in football. Eating cod is like eating your mushy peas from a ramekin.
I can’t believe that this is even being discussed on a Hull based forum.
Londontiger should be banned for this.

My Dad always said he wouldn't even insult the cat by giving it cod.
Haddock obviously.

I didn't want this topic to turn into The Cod Wars
Schoolboy error LT. Opened yourself up to a world of abuse. Worm riddled bottom feeders are cod. Haddock every time.
It is called 53 Degrees North. Pretty good standard and they ask you as you go in what fish you want (small, medium, large, haddock or cod) so they cook it fresh. You have to ask for skinless if you want it that way. There's a chippy on Skillings Lane in Brough that leaves the skin on.
I thought they were both bottom feeders?
