I have been critical of Mick in the past but on the whole I make no apology for supporting his appointment as our manager and I hope he is with us for many years to come!
Tonight marks McCarthy's 100th game as ITFC manager. The last man to that was Magilton in 2008. Below is Jim's team in August 2008. R. Wright D. Wright Balkestein Smith McAuley Quinn Garvan Shumilikoski Haynes Counago Lisbie Which team would win? The class of 2008 or 2014? Bearing in mind Magilton had a lot of money to spend, McCarthy hardly any.
I'm gonna stick my neck out and say 10 points from 12 in our next 4 We will beat Wolves, Watford and Charlton and a draw at Bournemouth. I'm being optimistic considering the players out at the mo, but I have faith in Mick and his abilities.
Crikey Castro I do hope so, if we do that'd be awesome! By hook or crook lets get 3 points tonight......
Just seen the Norwich manager on tele and it dawned on me that he sounds like Lee Mack sucking a sweet when he talks.......not really a relevant observation but ah well.
I'd pick 5 from that team, then you've got Smith so I guess it's evens stevens. I still don't think we have had as good a first team as we had in MEs reign since the day he took over!!!
The humble pie is currently being baked, and will be eaten in good time... Fair play to the team, they proved me wrong and by all accounts an excellent performance all round. Other than Hyam (for picking up 5th yellow card) i wonder who will be dropped on Saturday if all are fit again. Will we be too lightweight in the middle if we have two of Skuse, Bishop and Bru (who by the sounds of it definitely had his best game so far)?
just wanted to wish jonny williams a speedy recovery as I heard he'd suffered another serious injury. deserves a break (no pun intended) as he's a cracking young footballer
