Which is a lifetime in football.

Example. 2009. Manchester united reigning pl champions, second best side in european football and the best side in england by miles and miles.

2014 finished 7th.

Gerrard aside what else is left from the 2009 fluke?

Is that a 'no' then as the answer to my question?

As a utd fan you haven't had the same experience as most football fans because all you've known is success [ I'm guessing you're 19/20 ish] so you really don't know how to handle failure. Will your 7th place be a fluke, one off occurrence or a new pattern, we'll have to wait and see.

jesus, austerity obviously means the orderlies at the hospital you were committed to have to ration out the sedatives, you've been manic these past few days.

Give me the number and I'll give them a call on your behalf, you need 500mgs of something strong, STAT!

Rodgers only got Sturridge in Jan of the previous season, and put him in there, he picked Sturridge to sign and chose how to play him and it worked and you say "stumble" <laugh> When Suarez missed the end of that season Sturridge was playing alone and scoring, just as he was when Suarez was missing at the start of last season.

I guess his fortunate stumbling is what landed him the job?
Swans haven't beaten their highest PL points total they achieved under Rodgers<whistle>

There was no stumbling on to anything, teams just could not cope with Studge Suarez Sterling and Coutinho running at them at pace hence the early goals aplenty and 20 minute destruction of some teams we played.
