We just lack quality pure and simple. We were running off adrenaline in early games and that got us results but that has gone and exposed the lack of quality. I can only see Burnley who can possibly finish below us

We´ve come from behind in every game at home this season. Says alot about whether our DEF can hack it in the prem.
If we lose it´ll be 4 in 5.

Yeah, fantastic championship side (as it stands now) but simply not good enough at this level. Will the Jan transfer window help us any ?
It´s going to be a long long season :(

Can we clone Ulloa? Because the only person who can get on the end of crosses is Ulloa. But the only person who can deliver crosses is also Ulloa.<doh>

Classic relegation-fodder scenario though. Losing by a freak own goal by your big-name signing. Berahino the difference- he's like Vardy but with finesse.

Really feeling so down about this. Even the run two seasons ago didn't make me feel this bad as we were tryin to achieve the same as many years before. This feels so much worse as we spent 10 years to get here and I now have no doubt we are going straight back down

Losing interest, as is the team.

How a 5-3 win over Manchester United can drain your confidence I have no idea.

We are getting to predictable, no width today ball straight down the middle for Vardy to chase! and their goalie was fast of his line.
I like both Vardy and Nugent, but not as our main two strikers. When the team was announced i must admit i thought we would struggle to get any goals.
would like to see wood and Powell given more of a chance, with Powell more wide to feed Ulloa and Wood

    Chins up.
It was never going to be easy - the roller coaster has only hit it's first big dip. Long long way to go. And remember our run in is not as tough as it could be on paper. We need a scrappy win sometime soon to inject a little belief again.

    Calm heads that is all

Positives we looked a lot better defensively

Negatives, shocking team selection and no idea how to create chances

Nugent was a waste of time, if Ulloa wasn't fit to start then he should have given Wood his chance

We were far too narrow today. I think Schlupp and Mahrez need to play when we are home, at least they run at people.

Not sure what Knockaert has done as he can't get near the squad. Is it his turn with the boss's daughter?!

I think Nugent will be benched next week and could be out of the side for a while.

Couldn't believe the thinking (if there was any!) behind the team selection today. Does Pearson draw the names out of a hat? How can he drop Ulloa, who is the leading goalscorer by a mile? Where else are the goals going to come from? The fact he hasn't had a shot on target in 4 games is because no one has fed him a pass worthy of the name! In the first few games we were getting runners down both flanks, firing in decent balls and Leo was sticking them away. What more could you ask of your main striker? It must be a real kick in the teeth for the guy when one minute he's hearing Pearson publicly lauding his scoring ability, and then has to spend all of the last 4 games chasing aimlessly across the line trying to win the ball back off defenders because his manager decides not to play wide men any more, and then Pearson rubs salt in the wound and drops him! It absolutely beggars belief! What next? Drop Schmeichel because he's the one letting in the goals? Sometimes I think Pearson really doesn't have a clue. As someone said, this is like the losing run we had a couple of seasons ago. He had no clue how to stop it then, and I really wonder if he has a clue now. Bringing on Powell today into a side that had lost the last 3 and was losing again was just sheer desperation.

It's no use sticking Vardy down the middle. There's not enough space for him there and that position doesn't play to his strength. He's not a tricky player with quick feet who's going to bamboozle defenders; he needs to start out wide right where he has space to use his pace, get behind full backs and then come inside and attack central defenders from there and set up chances for others. And putting Nugent up front as striker is a waste of time. We've all seen it and said it before. The guy is not a striker! End of!

The frustrating thing is that I think we have a set of players that is capable of holding their own in this division. Unfortunately we have a manager who keeps on making changes and persists in playing players out of position and in ridiculous formations. Something has to give shortly because we are in danger of getting into a losing mentality and could end up being on the end of a severely demoralising beating against the likes of Southampton.

Can't see another win in the near future tbh. We will take a heavy beating at Southampton next week, wouldn't be surprised if they get at least 4 or 5

Ulloa had a groin strain, that's why he was on the bench.

You don't need to gloat Grif, I don't think you'll find many on here anymore who don't think we are going down. I already said before yesterday's game that your lot will finish above us. It'll be 19th position for us but still find Burnley will keep us off the bottom

Can someone please tell me what Wood will offer the team, because for the life of me I can't see anything. Even last season in The Championship he looked immobile and doesn't offer anything in the way of pace, effort or the willingness to get stuck in. In the pre season against MK Dons he hardly had a touch and was just a passenger. For a bloke of his size he is a real lightweight. Even if we play 2 wide men (and that looks like a long shot) I wouldn't bet on him getting on the end of anything.
