Being that we were so exciting last year, is this our way of restoring the balance this season.
64% possesssion and one shot off target...ffs

Can people see why I get so annoyed about Gerrard playing every game yet? Surely that 45 minutes was proof of how much of a liability he now is.

All around awful. Balo up top alone does not ****ing work, yet the ONLY person that doesn't see it is the only man that should, the manager. Johnson playing over Manquillo is disgraceful and very unfair on Manq.

Send Rodgers to Starbucks and get Brian Blessed in the dressing room at half time

Rodgers just must make changes at half time. We offer nothing. If Newcastle don't win, they should be embarrassed.

    we are shameful.

    no movement.

3/4 touches to get a pass off.

aleen is a joke he is so weak and he looks more leggy than gerrard!

    sterling has given up

we are playing long balls onto sterling and he's not bother

    coutinho is falling over.

the ref is a joke blowing every newkie lad falling over and lfc players are not even diving like them ffs.

in short we are a bunch of technically limited, slow minded, pussies who've no place playing football.

thus bring on lallana.. he'll fit right in.

If i were lfc i'd sub off sterling and then send him to the team bus.

Abysmal. Only one team in it. What the **** is Johnson on the pitch for? And Balotelli....

    Slow, slow.... slow, slow, slow.

Like watching a Houllier team without the solid defence, threat on the break or set pieces.

Why doesn't Lallana start lads? Adds energy and pace to a pedestrian midfield.

Can't take Sterling off - as anonymous as he has been, he's still a match winner, and we're not blessed with many of those in this team.

We need a driving force from central midfield - move Coutinho back in there for Allen, and bring Lallana on. Or keep Coutinho up higher and bring Can on.

Henderson and Allen are solid defensive players but we need players who actually want the ball and drive upfield.

Newcastle have been just as bad as us. Considering they are at home and come off the back of 3 wins with the last being over City, you'd think they'd be well up for this game.

Both been as bad as each other but at least we look a bit more solid defensively than in recent weeks.

Strikes me that Rodgers is saying "well we can't go out and beat teams 4-3 with this team this season so we need to sit back a bit more, not be as attacking and try keep more clean sheets and score 1 to win".

Coutinho and Sterling are wasted. We need them in the thick of things, they are players capable of drifting past defenders, creating chances out of nowhere. Right now our midfield is static and ****ing clueless. All 3 have resorted to hoofballs. Gerrard, Allen, Hendo world class agents of hoofball. surprised we are still not behind.

Change the system FFS, you thick mug. Lallana, Can and Borini certainly will be an improvement

Sterling has been ineffective, but all he is getting is long balls in the air...the guys a midget compared to the players marking him he is never going to win a ball delivered like that.

Johnson, Gerrard and Henderson have been rubbish 1st half.

We just mess about with the ball passing it around at the back until we eventually give it away in midfield.

If we can hang on for a nil nil draw I will be chuffed if we keep playing as we are.

Sterling needs to move more into the middle where he can do some damage, Gerrard needs to come off and Johnson needs to be replaced by Mankiller

Has any team fallen so dramatically from the attractive, exhilarating, attacking style we had last season to this, ****ing non-entity, anonymous football, apart from us? We've gone from being one of the most exciting teams to watch not just in the PL but in Europe to one of the dullest.<steam><yikes><laugh><doh>

lallana is muck... he is too lightweight for this game and won't get a touch... thus rodgers will send him on on 67mins for coutinho and the game will either be lost or end 0-0

Some people need to chill out a bit...

1 decent season and people think we're one of the best teams in the Country again. Reality is, the squad we had last year and this year, is 5th at best. Last year we overachieved, losing the one WC player was never going to make us better so only natural we'd struggle (especially when losing our 2nd best player last year to injury).

I agree with you to some extent but we spent over £100m in the summer to try and minimise the loss of Suarez. To regress this far, not just in terms of results and performances, but the whole style and philosophy is not the same.

Yet again, nothing changed at half time. Anyone for nothing to improve until the 66th minute and then BR will chuck on two players who'll not have enough time to influence the game, and will be bought on for the wrong players? You know, like every ****ing game.

Weve played so badly and had so little chances that we will probably do what happenned to us in the lst two seasons occasionally. Steal the game 1-0 from the one shot we have on target.

How is that not a red card then?

Studs up, just below the knee...

    Horrendous tackle.
