I see that the mighty Chelski hammered lowly Shrewsbury... oh, wait! It was only 1-2! That's going to dent their confidence in the Prem, surely?
Ridiculous red card. I don't even think that it was a foul: https://vine.co/v/OMrbb79zIlQ Tremmel was bloody awful for both goals, though. The first probably wasn't down to him, but the second definitely was. Nice to see former Spurs youth player and eternal loanee Simon Dawkins netting a couple for Derby in their comeback win against Fulham: Not surprising to see the other Mousa Dembele doing well, but the other Chris Martin's penalty turned the game just before half-time. Fantastic hit by Dawkins for his first, though Kiraly not only smelt it but got a hand to it, but that second's a brilliant finish. Don't see many like that. I've mentioned it before, but McClaren's doing a very good job with Derby. He'll be back in the Premier League soon, one way or another.
All of a sudden, Townsend doesn't look so bad. Until the next time he wastes good buildup with a tame shot from 30 yards. Which will presumably be about 23 minutes into tonight's game.
Glad to see City are hitting a great run of form ahead of the 168th Manchester derby. 1 goal against 6 in 2 and a half games since going 2-0 up v CSKA Moscow. That's tempted fate, hasn't it?
Yesterday's result wasn't particularly surprising, I'm pretty sure the City players didn't lose any sleep last night over it. Newcastle will probably go on a nice little run now
Yeah I imagine we'll be in free fall now. That's what normally happens following a narrow win against plucky opposition despite most of our first 11 not starting.
Roy Keane's been badmouthing people, shockingly. Totally unexpected. This time he's chosen to go after two of his ex-teammates, in Gary Neville and Paul Scholes. I think he's wrong on the former and right about the latter. What do you make of Gary Neville and Paul Scholes’ forays into punditry? Neville seems to have won over even non-United fans… I don’t think he has. Certain papers write stories about Gary winning everyone over, and he’s writing for these same newspapers, y’know? Do you find it odd seeing Scholes on TV now, though? He used to shy away from that stuff as a player. Yeah, but people don’t realise Scholesy could have done [TV appearances] at United, but he couldn’t be arsed. People thought he was camera-shy; he just couldn’t be bothered. None of us liked doing interviews, but it was a responsibility of the dressing room, you shared the load. “Scholesy’s too humble to do it.” Well, he’s f*cking doing it now, isn’t he? Maybe there’s more money involved now. And I’d tell him this if he was sat here in front of me.

Another of our former employees has arrived at Loftus Road. Chris Ramsey has been appointed by QPR to oversee the development of their Academy. Chris has every coaching qualification there is, plus all sorts of sports science qualifications, yet he just couldn't put his ideas across to our first team last season. He was great with the academy kids, absolutely first class, yet it is as if he was star struck when he worked with the first team and he really struggled. Strange, because he has experience of holding senior coaching sessions at the FA coaching schools, in fact he failed AVB on a coaching course. Anyway, good to see a decent guy get the opportunity to get back into the game and into a role for which he is probably best suited.
It happens a lot in football: somebody gets moved from one position at a club to the first team dugout, but rather than move back down the ladder when the new manager comes in they're moved out of the club. The one I really don't get is, when Tranmere moved their physio into the dugout, they didn't move him back to the medical room when he was replaced.
