haha television. i remember that.

Honestly, I watch about 3-4 hours a week maximum. Most of that is football, these days, but there's the odd documentary thrown in. And QI and HIGNFY. I'll probably watch a tad more now that the effing autumn and winter seasons are upon us. Radio 4, 4 Extra and 5 Live tend to take a battering from me.

I'll run iplayer when something interesting has been on but even then I tend to watch the first episode and then forget to watch the rest (Driver being the latest offender)

I suppose my best example has been Dr Who. When it came out I was a wee little kid and I used to watch it. I used to find it mildly entertaining, but never found it frightening or anything like that. However, when series like Lost in Space, Land of the Giants, etc... came around Dr Who was a bit poor by comparison. Star Trek finally put an end to any regular viewing. Occasionally I'd watch the odd episode just for old times sake, but I could never get past the cheapness of it. Anyway, that's history.

These recent years, people have been telling me how good Dr Who has been. It does win awards, etc.., so I gave it go, especially after they cast Peter Capaldi, who I've always liked as an actor in films after Local Hero. And I've tried to watch it. Even the Beeb are making it easier by making the episodes available for ages after transmission. But I never get around to it. I just have more interesting things to do than watch TV. At the moment I'm interrupting learning anew tune on the guitar to write this. But that's OK, cause I like corresponding on here.

And I'm listening to chat about AFC Bournemouth on Radio 5.

It raises an interesting point...if Poch is right, was our performance adversely affected by playing on smaller pitches at some away matches.

As a side note, I'm sure I remember some manager (possibly in League 1) moaning that we had widened the St Marys' pitch to suit our style.
