Since we've been without one for a good few years now, I'm looking at publishing a new City fanzine. I'm doing a little market research to find out what would serve everyone best.

It's been a long time since I've posted on these boards but I'd really appreciate if you could take 2 minutes of your time to fill out this survey - it's only 9 questions!

Thanks in advance <cheers>

Having been involved in two of the more popular fanzines of the last 20 years (in a minor role), I'd be interested to know if you have any experience of this sort of work. It's an amazingly hard job to do with just two or three editors unless you are particularly good at writing well thought out, amusing or interesting guff off the top of your head. Even then, it's pretty hard work, hence there been no current fanzines.

Just out of interest, OLM; who is involved in the other fanzine? Anyone well known ?

I'd heard ten foot was doing one.

fanzines are boring to be honest, repeated cliched articles

It's exceptionally difficult to launch anything like this nowadays, there's so much content online that it's hard to come up with anything people will pay for, particularly when you're up against the likes of Amber Nectar.
