I posted a quote from Chico's Twiiter account in which he was supporting Swansea in the diving row. He occasionally posts about the Swans and always pleasant, Other posters went on the offensive claiming he was not much of a player and had dragged the Swans to their lowest ebb and making us a laughing stock. So players who have moved on (permanently or temporarily) get slagged off whether they make comments or not. Good luck to Michu (and Chico), in his shoes I'd have done everything possible to leave the club where everything was falling apart. Fantastic in his first season and, despite serious injury, scoring a goal every 4th game he played last season he's been pilloried and attacked. I'm not sure what motives some fans have for attacking him but it is pretty shameful.
Oh come on now Bob that's a rather disingenuous post but you know that. "...supporting Swansea in the diving row" As far as I'm aware Chico was responding to a personal slight from Walters. No surprise there. "Other posters went on the offensive claiming he was not much of a player.. " I never said he "wasn't much of a player" I said he was an OK player that could do a job at this level but was a liability. "...and had dragged the Swans to their lowest ebb and making us a laughing stock." Isn't the use of language interesting? Who said anything about "dragging the Swans to their lowest ebb"? Very emotive, that. I said he made my team a laughing stock with his antics at times. Are you saying he didn't? We all remember Sam Allardyce pissing himself laughing at him from the sidelines and he was right to do so. I think you'll find most Swans fans are rather traditional in their outlook and really don't like our players going down as if they've been hit by a sniper's bullet. Yes, that makes us a laughing stock. I cringed when Gomez used to do it and I cringed when Chico did it, and I bet you I'm not alone. As for players who have departed I'm on record on this forum as saying I think it's wrong for players to be harangued by their former fans, no matter what team, Swans or otherwise. There were elements in the crowd when we played Ipswich some years ago that were applauding Jason Scotland but there were definitely some booing him. It's ridiculous and shameful imo. But you're way off the mark in saying that criticism of Chico and Michu falls into that category. Chico was criticised when he was here because of his defensive ricks and acrobatics - same as he was praised when he had a good game. Likewise, Michu was criticised when he was here for his lacklustre, disinterested displays last season - again, rightly so. He's also not helped himself with his aloof dismissal of the fans on social media. An avid tweeter, a simple thank you to the fans who worshipped the guy was warranted imo, though I accept some disagree on this. So this isn't one of those scenarios where former players are being criticised just for being former players.
I can give you a contact number for a good dentist ... that raw nerve will only get worse. "Mucha suerte al Swansea en su partido de mañana contra el Stoke. Good luck tomorrow against Stoke." from Chico's Twitter the day before the Stoke game. After Chelsea "Una derrota no debe ensuciar un buen comienzo." A loss should not mess a good start. A defeat shouldnt mess a good start.
Oh dear, Bob. If it's your intention to cause raw nerves amongst fellow Swans fans then you've more in common with DragonPhill and Daiswan than I thought. But in all honesty there are things going on in the world that I get upset about much more readily than Chico Flores, so you're giving yourself more credit than deserved. It's great that he's showing a soft spot for us in his Tweets. However I was specifically referring to your assertion that he "was supporting Swansea in the diving row", not that he hasn't shown support or affection for us generally. Now try dealing with the rest of my post relating to his on-field antics if you're able. I say they were embarrassing (and did so when he was here). You say they were what, laudable and should be encouraged? I think most Swans would disagree with that to be honest.
No intention but I can't be responsible for your feelings, or has this become a site where a few names must be bowed to?
I am not convinced that is a fair assessment because the points raised are always of a polarising topic, I am sure everybody would be giving Michu praise for his attitude before the break up with his then girlfriend. Since then he didn't do it for us and it is still affecting his performances for Napoli.
Can you not drag me and Dai into your disputes with other posters please, we have nothing to do with your difference with bob, otherwise Dai and myself will get cracking on this type of put down, we can all play these kind of games, and I know you won't like it if I start doing it!............
Looks like that on times Bob, but you'll not find me kissing anyone's butt on her, don't let them get to you mate, there are a couple on here that think they're gods.................
Nope. Just able to debate properly instead of trolling. Bob and I are debating, it's not a 'dispute'. I know you look for confrontation but you should try it mate instead of trying to score points that mean absolutely nothing. You say things here that I guarantee you wouldn't to someone's face because you'd be filled in pretty sharpish. It's classic, cowardly trolling. It's a shame because you've shown an ability to debate whether I agree or disagree with you. Daiswan can't - sorry but he just can't. You want to align yourself with that then your reputation here will suffer even more and further bans will undoubtedly follow. Still time to turn it around but hey it's your call. Not bothered either way.
But you talk such crap dragonborn so what do you expect...you have to know what you are talking about first ...
I'm not wasting my time with you any more, fella. You deserve some credit though because you are without doubt achieved the title of the most condescending poster I've ever encountered on any forum whilst simultaneously contributing the least. And they say us guys can't multitask! The day the likes of you say I talk 'crap' I know I'm talking sense, so as you have nothing of value to offer you're ignored as of now. Ta ta.
Suppose to be about football on here , not dragon battles and dai 's egging on of posters ....And after the terrible month or so weve had , there is a lot at stake to debate
Agreed Roof. I've tried to talk sense into the other Dragon but doubt he'll listen as he seems to like the ****fests and cannot differentiate between lively debate and confrontation. As for the other one I'm well rid. He's nothing to say except comments that draw attention to himself which of course he thrives on because I suspect he's rather sad in life. My board will henceforth be a hero free zone thank goodness. But if this sort of thing carries on the trolls will win. As Valley says, it's best to ignore. I'm going to give it a go anyway.
