The idea we will play ""the swansea way"" because of Monks hand in it is a bit of a laugh valley .We look far from the""Swansea Way"" since Monk took over .Possession disapating , hoofball becoming more regular.Losing our shape is a regular occurance these days under Monk..Hope he can get things back on track against leicester,Monk needs a good win more than even the club needs one

"Much appreciated, you are the best team to visit the Britannia this season by a long way, good luck for the rest" - Stoke Fan

Our football has definitely improved under Monk, but there are some issue that need urgent attention, firstly our strikers are responsible for hitting the back of the net, and they are not, they are being propped up by our midfield at present, secondly Monk needs to sort out his timing of subs, and his choice........<ok>

I think many Swans fans would agree with that. Expectations far too high at Man U imo. Moyes is a canny manager who has repeatedly out-thought our managers in the past. Monk may still prove us wrong but at the moment he looks like he's struggling.

Not just our managers but more established and experienced ones with bigger budgets and squads .

Agree. If Moyes had £28 million to spend on a striker during his time at Everton they'd have been in the top four. Some people seem to have forgotten that he is a top class manager who was limited to a third tier budget for 10 years.

He is still Forest Gump for me!..................<cheers>

I knew Moyes was going to run onto trouble when he got a huge budget at ManU , he works better finding good players for cheap , much like Martinez. We would be a perfect club for him to get back to our old transfet ways...buy low, sell high.

I maybe will concede that point actually, bit early yet though, Monk needs more time, Why was Moyes there though?

Scouting his rivals before taking over at Newcastle maybe?
One thing that Moyes would guarantee is that our defensive game would be rock solid and the players concentration/effort levels would be spot on for 90 mins.

Such a lunatic post.

According to you,Laudrup was a "crap manager".The man who managed to establish the team into the TOP HALF of the P.L.

Yet you now maintain that mid table is acceptable under Monk.

You make no mention of Cup's,and the possibility of perhaps winning one. You know, kind of emulating Laudrup's achievement.

Presumably,if the team fail to win a Cup,that will be another rollicking success as far as you are concerned.

So,to sum up,if Laudrup is a "crap" Manager, then we will need to find a new word to describe Monk if the best he can do is mid table, and no Cup.

"If we had finishers then we would be in the top 5".
Well,if I'd won the Lottery last week,I'd now be far richer.

"No problem here except finishing".
Well, come the end of the season,it may just become apparent that we have a "crap" Manager. "No problem" then.

But,hey,"no problem",you can always come out and say that you never wanted Monk in the first place.

You could jump ship early, just like your Penclawdd neighbour has ALREADY done.

Better be quick though, since the lifeboats will fill up pretty quickly.

What a numpty post <doh>

There are 3 games i could mention we could have won if we had proper finishers, that is not monks fault. They are not finishing off the sterling work everyone else is doing creating chances for bony and the other probable goal scorers to put away the ball. How is that in anyway monks fault....he should drop bony for a while as he is not producing enough to warrant him being the main striker. fair play to monk he praises him and encourages and plays him, so what is monk suppose to do....the rest of the team are producing enough to win games...

Finishing in the top half of the P.L. and winning the Capital One Cup is being "contentious"?
Bring on contention,I say.
Perhaps Monk is learning though. Calling player's "cheats" is pretty "contentious" wouldn't you say?

Hassle? What hassle?

Monk was a cheap alternative to the likes of Koeman.

Koeman is showing his class. Monk is showing...,well,he's not showing anything much at the moment.
He'll soon be asked to show some money in the not too distant future, however, via the inevitable fine that will be imposed on him.

But you never really wanted Monk anyway.

Another wally post from our resident monk hater <doh> talk about village idiot dont even come close...<ok>

I admire your loyalty to what is looking more and more like a lost cause but why do you have revert to name calling?
It is interesting that many who were totally in support of Monk pre-season are becoming disillusioned, not necessarily with points but with performances.
We all want our team to succeed which is why we criticise on here but give total support at games (which you would Knopf you attended games).

I supported Monk at the outset and I still do now.

Don't honour yourself by claiming you are the voice of the people, because you're not. You're the voice of yourself.

Funny how nothing is Monks fault and everything was our last managers fault.. your an easy read dai

As we all do , thats not to say that he (Monk) is beyond criticism when it's valid and to be fair most on here recognise that fact and can debate without fear of ridicule or put downs .
