So funny in fact that practically everything they post has to have the suffix of <laugh> just to ram that point home.

Can anyone transfer a thread to another board or is it only something a moderator can do? If the latter then can I make a request for a thread I'd like to start seeing as they're such good sports? :)
 
One of the Dippers took offence to me saying Everton would have had a chance of winning the European Cup in 1985/6 and has taken to PM to put me in my place.

"As has been requested I will not comment on the thread. But you are wrong. Everton did not compete and therefore any result for them is speculation. Everton also have/had a reputation for European ****ups. I therefore stick with my contention and it's not a churlish one.

The basis of last night's spat rests purely on bitterness. It's not your argument and you wouldn't understand domestic politics so I'd advise keeping out."

To which I responded that he was an ignorant old fool and got the following response:

"You know what you are so there's little point in telling you because you wouldn't be able to understand if I did"

which doesn't actually make any sense!

Wasting your time mate, we didn't have a chance, the kopites decreed it so, as it suits the fact that we were barred the chance to find out due to them. So they decided we might as well have not bothered anyway, so it's grand.

The fact that the winners in 86 were Steaua Bucharest somewhat deflates his argument btw.

Oh and here's the best fans in the der wurld, reminding us of that fact with a flag on the kop;

Surely if they had entered the competition, they would have had a chance. Especially during the 80's when only English and Italian football were worth looking at.
