Agree RJ, thought Williams looked Jaded Saturday and Fernandez is not the defensive force we want him to be. Still, plenty of time to improve but your right, the gaol wasn't Taylors fault, the gap should have been plugged by 1 or both of the CB's imo. Anyone else notice that since the loss of Amat our defence seems to have fallen apart.
Stumpey gave you the proof, but your too stupid to understand, grow up and stop being so childish. By the way find the proof yourself....................
This is correct, but let Vetch think otherwise, we wouldn't want to burst his little bubble..................
Isn't it time he got banned? All he ever does is rubbish Monk, and spout his Laudrop crap, or hadn't you noticed? it's all getting tedious......... Grow some balls will you, you where quick enough in banning me.
You should watch a few more Judge Judy episodes,Dragon. Get out of your pit a bit earlier in the morning. Stumpy's so called second hand proof has no meaning in the real world. However,in your cloistered one clearly it does.
Wassup,Valley.Aren't you enjoying the party. I am. Always puts a smile on MY face to have Dragon squirm on the end of my line.
Michu wasn't signed as a striker. He may have operated, successfully,in that role, but he was a midfielder who played more than one role. Luckily for the team that he could adapt. Many of his goals were scored when he came from the midfield region. Graham, was signed as striker, and most,if not all of his goals were what most would regard as striker's goals.
Towards the end of that season, whenever we put Michu back into midfield, we struggled. He is a forward. Maybe not by trade, but by specification. He's hardly a ball winner because he tackles horrendously and often picks up bookings. He's not a playmaker because he stands to high waiting for the ball. He can't hit a raking long ball. Whenever he got back around our box, he gives his man too much space or gets too tight/slides in and fouls. He just isn't a very good midfielder. Basically, all he does is plays little one-twos around the centre circle before he goes darting off trying to get behind the defence. People are blinded by his goals. When you actually look at his general play and his attributes, there's only one place he should be, striker or second striker in a 442 or 4411. He should never be part of a midfield 3 where everyone has to put in equal effort. Swansea, almost religiously, play with 3 in the midfield now. For me, with Michu in the middle we were effectively playing with 2 central midfielders and were, in most cases, overrun. I can remember it like it was yesterday. It's my opinion, of course and I accept that other people will see differently. But I never saw him as a midfielder. At least not a good one. He just doesn't possess the qualities to play there, for me. You need more than short passing, goal scoring and energy to play midfield. But you add in his other attributes of great heading, strength and a wicked shot and you've got the hallmarks of a great striker.
Just for one season though kidderz as he has not performed for us or napoli and deemed a one season wonder. It's a shame as i liked what i saw in his first season but he won't be the first or last player who has one good season and pants for the next few. I hope he can rekindle his form when he comes back to us as napoli is not the club for him....
In case you missed it elsewhere. Season 13/14 You conveniently forget Michu played midfield once Bony came in, he was clearly unhappy & had a serious injury. He still managed to score 1 goal in every 4 games. Shelvey 1:7 Nathan 1:6 Routs 1:8 Guz 1:7 Michu 1:4 Wilf 1:2 You should try sticking up for our successful players instead of blindly slagging off anyone vaguely considered close to Laudrup.
ffs why does every thread come down to a Monk/Laudrup slanging match, very irritating, personally I dont give a flying fk who the manager is as long as we win
Just responding when needed to those that are still crying over Laudrop. which unfortunately can give that impression.
