Interesting...

Ask any Liverpool fan and we'd say we fancy our chances MORE against the big teams than the smaller ones. We are always fired up and play with a high tempo. Against the likes of Wham, QPR or Swansea, we just have no passion.

Don't you think that is a little patronising ?

You getting your excuses in early before we ko you in the cup next week ;)

That 3rd goal is the reason why sterling should at right up top in Sturridges absence. No one else makes runs past the defenders which is why Coutinho has also struggled as he's had no one making the runs for his passes

desperately unlucky QPR. Utter ****e, and the win doesn't mask that.

My ratings;

Migs: 6 Chaotic in the first half, some good saves in the second.

Johnson: 5 Hand in the first goal, good going forward, shaky I defence (again).

Enrique: 4 Never went forward, abysmal defending for their first.

Lovren; 6 Zamora owned him, but he was the better of the cb's.

Skrtel: 5 Would have been less but for one crucial clearance. Dire first half.

Can: 5 Doesn't offer much defensively, leaden going forward and starting breakaways.

Gerrard: 5 No problems with playing him behind the strikers, but missed most of the first half.

Hendo: 5 Really need his speed and composure in that first half, and he just gave the ball away whenever he needed thought.

Sterling: 6 Best Liverpool player, but that doesn't say much.

Lallana: 5 Not that good under bombardment - fair enough, but he, hendo and Sterling had plenty of opportunities to break, but constantly blew it.

Balotelli: 3 Maybe he's saving himself for Wednesday.... truly awful. Could have had three, Really needed him to kill the game off, but, as with the derby, he just isn't a goalscorer. Nor can he lead the line. Wtf can he do?

Subs: Allen: 5 Completely off the pace but won a few fouls.

Coutinho: 6 Lost the ball often, tried too many nutmegs - but still a complete class above anyone else in our midfield bar Sterling.

Toure: 10. Or even 0.

Bron: 5 Needs to get Lambert and Balottelli to knock ten bells out of our cb's in training, and if we can't win the first ball - WIN THE ****ING SECOND!

Team: 4 1/2 Unable to cope with direct opponents, but, more importantly, unable to capitalise on quick breaks like last season. No scapegoats, but Balotelli was a £16m gamble that hasn't worked. I'd prefer carroll back.

Don't you think that was entirely my point? Tongue in cheek since you say we'll get smashed, which I find a little distasteful.

When did I say you will ever get smashed ( I am saints BTW , come on here looking for comments about sir Richard of lambert ) .

Did Joe Allen do anything today? Other than make their second goal?

Yup, got control of the ball and played it to team mates - something most of the other 10 and certainly the other 3 that were in midfield in the first half were incapable of doing.

Can stop with the Allen bashing now, we all know what he brings to the team, control and possession. 2 thing we were missing desperately in the first half

Somehow we are fifth in the league!!!! Thats really messed up. Our performance this season deserves fifth about as much as someone who shoots their missus deserves community service
