What the **** was that what I witnessed today <yikes><laugh> They're bottom of the league lads, FFS.

(No offense Rs, well done for sticking at it.)

****ing hell though, this is a far cry from last year isn't it? Or actually, it's rather similar to the final Palace game. In a way.

Erm .... well .... I'm not quite sure how to react to this result.

Yes we won, but my God what an awful game of football. It was entertaining but the quality of both teams was embarrassing.

Rodgers - when will you realise that Mario cannot play as a lone striker! Poor lad is struggling (not helping himself) but the system is so poor.

Gerrard proves he's poor in any position you put him in.

    The defence ... f*ck me.

    1. lack of intensity.

    2. lacks of responsibility... lovern finally manned u to zamora second half.. no doubt told to so great leadership there but NOBODY was there doing the dirty job of winning the breakdowns and preventing an awful qpr their one line of attacking ball.. if we'd have manned up there we'd have dominated.

    3. away debut for 20 year old who's been out for 8 weeks... smart? I think not. can was thrown in... perhaps he looks good in training but he was pants and got a real hello this is the prem reaming.

    4. enrique... very very sloppy. let far too many crosses in, lost the ball

    5. johnson... same old. ran forward well. many occasions he didn't get back.

    6. midifeld trio with gerrard advanced.... sorry hnederosn, sorry can but your performances were tosh. in the first half with this tactics the onus was on the two to drop off and make options for passes. the defence had zero options and mindlessly lumped it in the end. the times we bascially took short goal kicks and tried to pass round and found there was ZERO midfield showing... c'mon ffs. When gerrard as flipped back to deep lying it improved a bit... but only a bit.

    7. allen and coutinho on... a bit of effort and intensity... just a bit. turned the game. How coutinho can show a lack of this when starting then come on yesterday and show it... well inconsistent but i'm grateful for a showing.

    8. balotelli... c'mon guys lets not get all high and mighty about not being critical... thats rubbish for me. when the guys gets one first half he trips over then stands and never tries.... then fluffs his lines 2 times, is totally greedy and if he'd hit the target ok but I've hit better shots off my bad leg than him. for our first goal he had his back to it asleep... dunne should've realized it was badontelly, controlled it, had a smoke, then passed it off. Awful... pure dirt.

Obviously not the result I was hoping for but a great match to watch and the last 7 minutes was amazing. QPR are definitely going to get relegated if they can't get anything from a game like that.

That was ****ing ****e <doh> As bad as the Basel performance. Two plus points - we got all three points and Coutinho looked more like his old self. I reckon this was because we got robbed by the BS.

The encouraging thing was that we looked a lot more threatening once Coutinho came on - the quick breaks were back.

With Coutinho, we have someone who can keep the ball and draw 2-3 players out of position. This then creates space for others, which has been a struggle for Sterling because he get double teamed now.

As mentioned, Coutinho has been patchy but I would still have him in the first team because we're changing too much, too quickly and we need some stability.

I hve to question two things seriously here.

    1. why why why was our tactics not adjusted after 10 minutes to press hard on their keeper and CBs to limit the ability to accurately lump it at zamora. It should only take sterling, lallana and badontelly to do this.

    2. Why did nobody sit in the pocket and sanp up those breakdowns.

these are the absolute basics of playing this sort of side.

and yeah you'd feel sorry for qpr unitl to see its happy harry in charge and then you go... wellllll.... unitlthey sack him they can swivel.

Maybe recalculate when both on 8 games???

Not sure you can claim you have won the league based on that logic but I suppose you are a Liverpool fan

    Example
    1st Liverpool - 61 / 38 = 1.6 points per game.
    2nd United ---- 59 / 37 = 1.5 points per game.

    League won???????

    #595
  16. 1.5pts per game over a 38 game season is 57pts <doh>

PS...Biscan was joking about the league title talk from some Man Utd fans after you beat QPR 4-0
