Costa will play against you......Im sure of that. It doesn't matter how much you get your act together with that defence......It will ship goals by the truck load.
You do know that with the Leicester collapse set aside, we have the joint least goals against in the Premier League don`t you?
Leicester game aside? But its not aside is it. And also, look at the awesome teams you have played so far. Your team isn't together as some of your posters are making it out to be, not by a long shot. I still think you will make top 4, but until you get at least one more World class Midfielder and 2 CB's you aint gonna do ****.
By taking the Leicester game out i was just making a point that our defence has been no worse than most on a consistent basis. You could quite easily have lost against Palace, they tore your defence apart on many occasions and they are not the first to do so. There is a long season ahead and to my mind no team has shown anything special yet.
Under Moyes it was the second game of the season FFS. So it was a Cagey affair. You had just thrashed Swans away the previous week. After all you were the home team - who played ultra cautious. Do you believe in Costa's unavailability? He would easily bag a hattrick against your defense. But before that - you should concentrate on West Brom, who can get a result against you, mind.
Maybe we haven't been 'special' but we've won 7 from 8 (and nearly won the 8th) without ever looking likely to lose. We've also played 2 out of 3 of last seasons top 4 (excluding us of course) and beaten Palace and Everton away - 2 games we lost last year. We're averaging 3 goals a game and the Defence is tightening up. Top of our C.L group and through in the next round of the carling. Not a bad start aye? United on the other hand have practically played no one who finished in the top half of the table last year. Lets see where you are in a month.
So United scrape a late draw at WBA. Again very unconvincing from them and still to record an away win this year. With some difficult fixtures now finally coming up for them, a real test of their new manager and new signings. Personally I think they will do alright in these games as the big name players will surely step up. Just remains to be seen whether they can compensate for that weak defence.
Wow - Ham get a W against city 2-1! They totally deserved it. Should have had a handfull tbh. never thought I would say - Ham & Sam played a top team off the park for whole of 90 mins. Fair play! If we can pouch Song or swap Mikel - that would be great! He was immense in the midfield.
If we win tomorrow & beat QPR in the Sat 3pm KO then City will kick off against their biggest rivals 11 points behind us, that's massive pressure on them already and that's withstanding their likely elimination from the CL. If their season peters out as early as November not sure Pellegrini will last.
Make light cos thats all you have, I'll look forward to seeing your progress next year on Thursday nights.
