moanu at 4th!! they compare their this year record to last year's after 7 games. They have done very well with 200 M Pounds investment.

But - they played the toughest games in their opening games last year - this year not so much.

Table flatters their actual state. Below par Toffess should have scored 4 goals and moanu were very lucky! Suddenly Dave becomes the best keeper in the league <doh>

£400m spend on a part-time team that struggle to beat jetlagged full timers

Everton's position is a woefully innaccurate reflection of the teams talent imo.
Still only 7 games in.
I said United would get top 4 before a ball was kicked, now looking at how **** Liverpool have been, and Arsenal too really, I still think United will get 4th.

Everton seem to be in a bit of a mess at the minute. Martinez has got them defending like Wigan. Bring back Moyes (to Everton).

I think without European football, United could get 3rd this year. They have some absolutely world class players which is harder to say in respect of Liverpool and Arsenal, especially as Wenger can't get the best out of arguably the 2 world class players he has (Ozil and Sanchez). Top 4 has to be bare minimum for United having spent so much and with a decent manager. Anything less is massive failure.

If Stoke can do it, anyone can do it mate, however unlikely.
A point is more realistic though.

guess what - Spuds are the better team at Eastlands in the opening 45 mins - although they trail by 2-1.
Spuds have opened City - one too many times - but their finishing is awful at best.

Lamps wins a soft penalty for the lead.

Southampton have really impressed me this year, a lot of people had them down to struggle after the exodus of players but they have replaced well and got a manager that seems to be drilling his methods into his players quickly and getting them playing well.

This.
They have really surprised me.
How great would it be if they got a top 4 finish and qualified for the CL.
Seriously though, other than the top 2 (us and City are pretty much nailed on for those 2 positions) I really cannot predict who else will get in the top 4.
The usual suspects, Arsenal, Liverpool and United, have all been pretty gash so far this season.
At the moment, oddly enough, if I had to pick one of those 3 to get a CL space, i'd say United, which is weird after last season......

Would be great for someone else to grab a CL spot though.

Not quite right that. I don't think anyone can predict who will get top 4... out of Arsenal, Liverpool and United but it will be two of them. Much as I like Southampton, it's safe to say they're not going to do better than 2 of those stated.

Also think gash is a bold statement. United last season I would agree but this season, far from it. As for Arsenal, their performances and their season is panning out exactly as it does every season when they finish top 4, no different at all. Liverpool have been poor, but they have an easy run to come and jury's out until that run of games is over. Although they probably are looking the weakest out of the 3 atm.

In what way is it set up for that to happen?

Maybe after todays performance you don`t look very convincing, perhaps devil thinks that we are slowly starting to get our act together and without Costa you could find it hard to score goals.
If Jose parks the bus like he always does against us (even under Moyes) then it will be a very boring game, if he trys to play us then it could be very entertaining for all.
