Never said it was meh and I agree about how every part was intended, there was jus just some fantastic goals last month. The more I see Austins goal the higher I rate it as well though, very hard to do what he did there.

De Maria's came first, Pelle second, Someone else came third. Of those three I think they chose the wrong one as the best.

At the time, I thought Austin's goal was excellent, and only slightly below Pelle's goal in personal skill and quality. I notice Morgan's goal against Newcastle didn't even get a nomination. You'd think a 40+ pass move, with flicks and back heels included, that ended with a curved shot just inside the upright, might have least been a contender. Of course, if it had been ManU...? <whistle>

On the subject of Manure, I heard on BBC606 last night that Rooney came in for some criticism because he wasn't playing..! That is, ManU were better without him.
The subject became a little wider, as it always does, when the media talk about Wayne Rooney. I was ][ far away from texting in to say that nobody actually dislikes Rooney. What they dislike is the media's obsession with him and ManU. The football public would like him a whole lot better if the media would just get off his subject and talk about their club instead. My text would have been something along the lines of...

BBC606: Please stop talking about Wayne Rooney. We don't dislike him. We would rather you just spent a decent amount of time talking about the clubs that make up the meat of the Premier League. For example, Southampton, Sunderland, Stoke City, Swansea, just to name some esses for starters. Would it be too much to ask for a ManU, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, ManC free programme once in a while..? I'm willing to bet that most club supporters DON'T want to hear about them all the time. They want to hear comments about their club. Be the programme that takes a break from the Arsenals and Chelseas. The other fans might just start calling in, in numbers then. Oh, and please don't answer this text with a We do, because you can't wait to get back to talking about the big clubs and their news.

Instead, the programme ended and I thought better of it. But one day..!

Sky saying Redknapp's new contract talks at QPR are on hold. Redknapp says he doesn't need a new contract and wants to concentrate on the football. No change is imminent apparently, but sounds like neither party wants to tie themselves down for longer at the present.

QPR apparently cover the least ground during a match than any other team. I know stats don't tell the whole story, but each of their players run over 1 km less than every Burnley outfield player. Says something about effort I would think.

No Liverpool fan (obviously) but feel for Sturridge...hope this is not a start to continuing problems during his career.
