    My question...If our Ak. gets his wish and Iceland qualify for the World Cup finals in 4 years time, then they will be the smallest country (by population) ever to do so. Which country currently holds this record ?

    I think it was a ship. Built in Scotland - it became a hospital ship which was sunk in 1943.

    Spot on cologne. Scottish built, AHS Centaur was en route from Sydney to Port Moresby with 330 medical staff on board - it was torpedoed & sunk near Brisbane with around 270 deaths. The survivors spent nearly two days in shark-infested waters - poor sods must have been crapping themselves.
