Leaving their kids in bed while they were having dinner was wrong (they haven't been found guilty of anything else), but not as bad as buggering off abroad and leaving three kids with a teenager...

The 'doctors' were simply 'at dinner', I don't see any difference tbh. Sadly it was a nightly occurrence, for the McCanns, when they'd already spent the day avoiding the kids and having them looked after by strangers.
The girl looking after the kids in England was at least known to them.

I noticed there's a new book out about the disappearance, it was in Asda the other day. You've have to be desperate to read it.

I don't know who killed the wee lassie but it's my opinion that Gerry went back to check on her & found her dead & then disposed of her body.
The sniffer dogs found Maddie's blood in the hire car of the McCann's.
Both the Portuguese & British police choose to ignore this.
It's a real possibility mate, the mccanns seem to be the last known people to have see her and she has disappeared off the face of the earth.
Sadly, I can picture a scenario whereby the girl came to die without any malice aforethought by the parents.
If they'd administered the slightest 'sleeping aid' and she'd suffocated or whatever they'd be in massive trouble.
Both highly paid careers would vanish along with their credibility, their friends, the detached house, the BMW's, the foreign holidays, the tennis lessons etc.
Being struck off would have enormous consequences for them and I believe they chose to 'hide the evidence'.
It's much simpler than believing a man snatched the girl and carried her through the streets of a busy holiday resort into a waiting speedboat ..... you can buy white girls in Romania for the price of a decent babysitter, why go to all that trouble?
Indeed, I believe they admitted to sedating her because 'she was a handful'.

My feelings on the McCann's are pretty much the same as everyone else's on here. But I still want to know how some thieving bitch went to Turkey on holiday and paid for decent child-care on benefits. One doesn't excuse the other, even if the sums spent on it are very different. Nail both the f**kers.
I wouldn't suggest it does mate.
It's just that one party, whose children actually came to no harm, had 4 policemen waiting and was carted straight off to the station. The other party, whose child was actually 'lost', were spirited back home without a problem.
It's just hypocrisy.
