Odd that they're labelled fannies for whining like bitches, by people whining like bitches.

Great thread this, nowt like a good passionate debate! One thing that everybody in this country should be entitled to is their own opinion and the means to get that across, and it's good to see that coming out strong. Which is probably the one good thing that Farage has triggered so far...

The sad part is that Farage's ideal of the future is a divisive country where we distance ourselves from others because 'they aren't like us' - first by nationality, then by class, by race, by geographical area. Which isn't what we should be aiming for as a nation. Let's back ourselves to do better.

Should be the most interesting election in absolutely years though, and so he deserves credit for that!

(Also - anecdotally, as somebody living in 'the south' - all the 'facts' about <50% Brits in schools, in London, etc are total bollocks.)

That's the thing though mate, I'm proud of my nationality, and I don't want to lose our national identity.
I have no problem with controlled immigration.
But I want the immigrants, if they are staying here to integrate with our way of life. They should be making sacrifices to our way of life not the other way around.
Not make their own enclaves and no go areas for English people.
We should make them swear to abide by our laws and customs and make the effort to fit in as a condition of entry.
If they try to bypass our rules, chase them, as it is clear they are just using us.
It's unbelievable that there are people who have been here over 40 years and they still can't speak or read and write English.

Their archaic religions and customs do not belong in a civilised society.
Where the police are afraid to go after them in case they get accused of racism.

TBH mate, the job's ****ed and we all know it.

We're just being bullied into saying that 'a super-dooper multicultural melting pot' is a wonderful thing and a credit to our nation.

In reality I've already gone well into ostrich mode and avoid situations that would wind me up.

It's very easy for people to attack my position as racist, or whatever, but I just see them as gullible <ok>

Hi DAPARKER,
Which is the 1 policy you refer to.
Is it the one where we leave the EU? For instance we have 70% of the EU fishing waters but are allowed 13% of the fish.
Is it the one where we control our borders and immigration.
Is it the one to raise the income tax threshold to the full minimum wage.
Is it the one to scrap the white elephant HS2
Is it the one to bring in a fairer voting system like proportional representation so that if 25% vote for a party they get 25% of the seats.
Is it the one where any immigration is done on a points system and not an open door system.
Is it the one to bring back grammar schools.
Is it because they will do away with all this 'pc' crap.

I could go on with many more policies but you seem to have been taken in by the main stream media and believe that UKIP have only one policy.

I can't blame you for that because all of the msm is against UKIP and all are trying to serve their political masters (liblabcon) by smearing UKIP.

It's very easy to call a party fascist or neo-nazi but the truth is that UKIP is the ONLY party to stand for the working man, long since deserted by labour who are replacing our plumbers, builders and other trades with cheaper workers from abroad. Great if you are rich and need some building done or want a cheap nanny, not so good if you are a small business in Sunderland competing with those working long hours for very low pay topped up with all sorts of credits from the taxpayer.

I despair of those who still think labour is the party for the working class when all they've done is work against the interests of them.
The labour party today is nothing like the labour party of a few decades ago which was a more honourable party and did have the working man's interests at heart.

It's true what most people think about the NE when it comes to voting, put a red rosette on it and they will vote it in no matter what. The cliche "I vote labour 'cos my dad voted labour" is sadly still true.

Look on the UKIP website and you will find out their policies and it isn't just the one as you seem to think.

For you and your children's sake vote UKIP before we are all living as a minority in an Islamic majority land. If you don't believe that check out the birthrates and you will find that before the end of the century we will be an ethnic minority in our own Land. You think it won't happen?
London has a less than 50% indigenous population.
Look at the fate of the American Indians, the Aboriginals, the Maori.
Have you not heard of 'white flight'
No go areas so that Asians can groom thousands (yes, thousands..look it up) of young white girls for sex and the Police dare not intefere in case they are called racist.

These things, and many more, are all really happening and liblabcon want MORE of it. Only one Party is looking out for you.

In case you think I am some kind of foreigner hater, I have been living abroad for the last 45 years and have served in the Army and then with the Army. I have loads of true friends from many different Countries and of many different colours and religion. I like and respect them all but I wouldn't want them all to come and live in my place with me.
We need space and England is already overcrowded.

Hope you can get the meaning of my post, you have your own opinions and I have mine. To me this seems all like common sense. Maybe if I'd lived all my life in Sunderland instead of leaving to join the Army in 1967 then I might think voting labour was the right thing to do.

Lets not forget that with all of their faults as opposed to the UKIP's none, the Labour party was created by the working class and to a large extent is funded by the working class, let me make one thing clear to everyone, working class are people that need to go to work to live , if you have private means that can fund your lifestyle you are not working class .

I got accused by a "mate" (someone who latched himself onto our drinking enclave. :p ) of being racist.......
The reason?
I stated I didn't find black girls sexually attractive!!!
Even though I pointed out I did find Asian ladies attractive, he kept going on.
One of the other lads saw my eyes lighting up and told him to shut the **** up. :)

I agree with this too mate. I'm a proud Brit and nobody wants to see areas that are no-go etc. Totally agree everyone immigrating to GB should have to speak at least basic English, and should abide by our laws (which they do have to at the moment - as do all Brits born here, but sadly Brits break the law too).

I firmly don't believe that UKIP are the answer. They talk a strong talk, but in principle, every political party out there will agree with the above. UKIP saying that they will change this doesn't give them the means to be able to do so. They won't have a bigger, better resourced police force than the current government. They won't be able to provide more education for those that don't read or write English, and won't have the money to 'test' people on arrival, any more than the current government.

I can't comment on the point about 'archaic religions and customs' because that must be specific to a certain group of 'immigrants'. There are a lot of French, Italian, Spanish, German, Aussies, Americans, etc who have immigrated here and who do just fine without archaic religions or customs.

That lad is a ****ing idiot. You don't find gay men sexually attractive, I wonder if he thinks that makes you a ****ing homophobe.

I'm honest enough to say that I much prefer Italian lasses over French, don't like North African Arabs & find Germans as fake as can be.
I think the Spanish are always trying to punch above their weight and the Poles are humourless & pointless on the whole.

Some people will find anything racist because they believe they automatically have the moral high ground.

This 'mate' of yours is a typical example.

UKIP is not a party that I would want in charge of the country for generations, as I feel we would BECOME a very racist and sectarian country. They will however be getting my protest vote as the first steps of UKIP's policies I agree with.
Massive tightening of immigration is one of the main priorities for me, most UK cities now have large no go zones where only a certain type of ethnic minority is made welcome. Newcastle, so far, doesn't really have that although there are some dodgy spots.
When myself and a mate who goes to Leeds Met were walking through Leeds when he first moved, we accidentally ended up walking through one of those areas, an Asian community. Every single person we passed just stared and stared at us, I can honestly say I've never been so scared in my life, and I've walked through leazes park on my own in the small hours on numerous occasions :p No one should be made to feel like that anywhere, let alone in their home country.
I agree with some previous sentiments on this thread, however, that as an equal priority would be cutting off all these benefit cheats who've hardly worked a day in their lives and are supported by hard-working ordinary folk.
As for the "climate change" crap, I really believe people are too worked up about it. We are in an age now where we are trying to find a reason for everything, blame ourselves for everything. 1000 years ago, when the Earth's temperature rose, no one really paid any attention. Now, we monitor everything so closely we are panicking at the slightest fluctuation and wondering what we are doing to cause it. If we had an ice age now, no doubt we would all be to blame somehow.
That said, I do advocate green energy and would be strongly against pulling down wind turbines.

I have no problem with gay men at all. live and let live.
I do have a problem when they put on that squealing high pitched camp talk though.
I could quite happily avoid that unfunny **** Alan Carr for the rest of eternity.
Strangely women find the campness endearing, it isn't endearing it is aggravatingly put on bullshit.
I recall a programme years ago about mothers and their sons coming out.
And one of the women accepting his gayness but wondering why he put on the stupid voice, as he didn't talk like that at home.

Just for balance my favourite TV personality right now is Stephen Fry. (Whose autobiography is a good read.)

My gay friends can't stand that either. I don't mind because I have their life, these camp lads tend to think they're Lilly Savage out of costume, they think they're so witty with their bitchy humor, I rip them to pieces when they start taking the piss. It amuses me because they meltdown like a toddler when I refuse to act like I'm uncomfortable with their behavior, something they rely on when they take the piss out of straight lads.

The problem is that they all do the same lame Julian Clarey impersonation and become all am-dram calling everyone darling etc <doh>

The jokes are so thin they should be on an Oxfam advert.

Can someone explain to me what they mean by 'benefit cheats?'

OK, so I'm not working atm but since I lost my last job I worked all my adult life.
My last job the were taking £400 odd off me a month in income tax alone plus of course my NI.

I see the welfare state as a type of insurance policy.
If you pay in then you're entitled to take out when you need to.
I claim nothing that I'm not entitled to, although I know many who do.

There are WMC's around my way that are full of people who haven't worked since the 70's.
Everyday, all day in the club.

My ex wife has a sister who has 6 kids to 4 different men.
Never worked a day in her entire life.

She also has a niece who has 5 kids to 5 men, she too has not put a single days graft in.
She's a chronic alcoholic & all her kids are in care.

The government can whine on all they like about cutting back on benefits.
Truth is, those that know how to abuse & get round the rules always will.
The only ones that will be hit are the genuine cases.

To me, if you've put nowt in, you get nowt out.
