Northampton have been on a good run of form just lately so it's a shame to lose at home!

Give him a couple years with mm and tc (the best management duo in the championship) he would be worth a good few million.

If you scroll to the top of this page, there is a drop down box called "Thread Tools". I clicked on it but couldn't find Guru, JWM or Welly.

To be fair, welly is not a problem, but the other two are all over every thread like a rash with nothing of interest to say! Maybe we should start a thread on their board so that Norwich fans can chat without their puerile interruptions!

JWM. It's cut and dry, there's not even an award ceremony.

Rich is right, that was pretty funny from HMQC

Guru, did you even watch a Norwich match under Hughton?

We didn't play hoofball. It wasn't stereotypical "anti-football". We had one of the shortest teams in the league last season.

The problem with Hughton's style is that it was extremely rigid. He actually had us trying to play a passing game, but because he wanted everyone so disciplined, we would constantly pass the ball around midfield with no-one making decent runs or creating space. So there would be a pointless bit of possession, the ball would go back to the other side and then we'd be defending again.

I'll give you "garbage", but it wasn't anti-football. So there's no hypocrisy and you know it - MM is cut from the same cloth as Allardici. That system works, it creates chances and it makes teams better than the sum of their parts.

Which, while not great to watch, on balance (because it's not my team) I'd say is a good thing, because I for one enjoy having local rivals who we play regularly and would rather Ipswich didn't get relegated to League 1 because I fear they'd never get back. I mean that, not wholly as a WUM. Yes, MM is better than pure Pulis, but it's the same concept because it has to be when your team isn't lucky enough to have parachute payments, etc <ok>

Poor Old Guru is just angry and bitter because his missus is top dog at home.

He sits on here all day because he doesnt have a life.

I prefer just to pop in every now and again, wind him up and then see him get his knickers in a twist.

Poor old boy never lets us down either.

How does it go .... the gift that never...

It all depends on what you call anti football rob, would you call anti football a team that creates a good many chances (like us last year) or a team thats goes out to try and hold for a nil nil or scrape a one nil if they are lucky.

And to answer your question, yes i did watch a lot of your games under hughton, certainly in the teens and enough to form a pretty good judgement on you. So i will throw the same question back to you, how many games have you seen of us under mick to make your judgement?

I mean anti-football in the same way most of the world sees it - hoofball. I don't care only about how many chances are created - that's the Allardyce percentages style of tactics. That's why it works. Big threat at set pieces with a tall team, high energy and motivation, safety first long balls and well organised defensively.

But when your biggest threat is set pieces, and your second highest scorer is a CB, you can't try to pretend you're anything else. I've seen enough of the highlights, watched your televised matches last year and this and I know MM well enough to know his style. You can't change your stars.

But what I don't understand is why you're even arguing about it. Everyone knows that's what MM does. And it works, very well. Look at how your team is doing with the resources available. You can't deny it, but if you're happy with it then great. No complaints. As I said, it's the thing keeping you afloat and so can only be a good thing IMO

The strength of the Championship is always inversely proportional to how Ipswich are doing in it.

You are talking complete garbage as usual <ok>

The 2 goals against Forest were from open play as were the goals we scored against Wigan, Derby, Rotherham and Brighton so please get your facts right before you mouth off you cretin! You know nothing about us so stop spouting all this anti football nonsense. You're hardly Barcelonaesque yourselves!

Nice one Dave I have come to expect your usual puerile response when you can't think of anything intelligent to say.
