Rather than me contact the SFEP you could help little old ignorant me out and explain what an "associate" actually does. After all it could take a few days to get an official response. <ok>

Why would I miss Big Chris?
A rose by any other name is still a rose.
You're here and doing what you have always done and entertained me with your inside knowledge and your barely contained venom.
You struggle to contain that venom at times though don't you?
Your posts become more acerbic and you attack other posters, finding any little personal trait to try to deride them rather than the point they made, when you're over compensating for the crap you spout, your grammar gets even worse.

I look forward to the "associate" information, as I'm really really interested.
I average a book or sometimes two a week, and would be very interested in getting my hands on early releaee copies. <ok>

I've been called a liar, on many occasions, by a tiny handful of sad knobsacks, including you iirc.

Stu I don't know why you didn't just say "I thought you meant his first book".

You'll have been completely ignored as usual then and you wouldn't have to spin this web of **** you've got stuck in.

I have a friend (well a friend of the Mrs more than mine) who had a book out in the top 10 last year, he's not a reputable author as such but I'm going to speak to him later as he's writing another and I'm going to ask him to find out what you are going on about and if it's even remotely plausible I'll rescind all the laughs I've directed at your posts for the last hour or two.

After reading the last couple of pages of overly harsh responses, I think it's safe to assume Sunderland Stu has a history of winding people up?

However, on this occasion I would say in his defence that it's true, associates of the SfEP do get large chunks of books more than a year in advance of their general release. SO if he really is an associate, everything he's said could well be true. Also, the media can't sign up and then leak extracts as it would be a breach of contract and would make them and, I assume, the newspaper liable in court.

A perfect solution terry, ask your friend what the link is between a proof reader and an associate if she is as you say she is she would know ,no need to retract anything terry ,its a football forum and i am aware of the piss taking i do/try enough of it

It's hard to believe mate, that 'anybody can join' then the whole thing stays completely water tight. There'd be people leaking stories left, right and centre... this stuff has been all over the back pages now for 4 days non-stop.

Thanks for attempting to clear up the media thing, I still don't believe it though. Bear in mind that a lot of these books, especially the Fergie one contains pure gold for these vermin media. No way on earth would they stick to some rules from a book club.

I know for sure his book didn't go anywhere a year in advance, as I sat next to him whilst he wrote it on holiday 8 months earlier.

I'm happy to take PP's word for it, he answered the question that you chose not to answer and even though it's hard to believe it's at least another person confirming what you said.

Bit weird that you asked the question knowing the answer, you're not normal.

Haha I don't really know how it works to be honest bud but I do know people who have read book extracts well in advance of it being released. You have to do a load of qualifications and continual learning and such though, it's not like a 5 minute online sign up.

He claims he read the Book, gave an opinion on it. Do members get the full book of what ever they like? Can I join up and read whatever I like well in advance of it release date?

It appeals to me so I thought I'd check it out but I can't for the life of me find where it states this lovely little perk. Surely it would be overstated as it would be a fantastic opportunity to sell memberships galore.
