    Yip... Can;t argue at all.

Although you'd happily like to see either of them playing at your club

The lad is incredible, I personally agree, better than Messi, not a contest for me.

He just keeps piling on the records. He's a phenomenon.

Messi has never been better than him individually, of that there's never been a doubt in my mind.

    And he's coming home baby!

There is nothing in it ability wise. Ronaldo though, is the larger of the two and therefore has a more rounded game. No fault of Messis mind. But what really makes the difference for me is that Ronaldo is more of a character whereas Messi is very much white bread.

There is for me, Messi seems to lack the ability to pay his taxes and Ronaldo is able to give millions to sick and starving kids all over the world.

One's a massive **** and the other is the best footballer in the world.

What I like about Ronaldo apart from the obvious is his wanting to keep scoring.
Scores a hat trick, only seconds to go with the game won, and still glares at team mates if they didn't play him in for another chance.
Been impressed with Bale too, some of the balls he puts into the box should have Madrid scoring double figures every game.

While Ronaldo is an excellent footballer I can't bring myself to like him whatsoever. I'm sure he'd be devastated if he ever found out. A good example of why I don't like him was in this years Champions League final, when he scored an absolutely worthless penalty to make it 4-1 with no time left and then carried on like he'd done the most amazing thing ever.

I'm sure that Real and United fans would give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he was just naturally excited, but I'm in no doubt that it was a calculated move to try and grab as much attention for himself in the papers when in reality he'd done **** all of note in the match.

I don't mind arrogance but that guy's something else. I prefer Messi's humility and for me he's more naturally talented, not by much mind.

He's the best I've seen for 40 years. Not since Cruyff have I seen such a brilliant talent. Messi is also a great player but in a different way. Both are exceptional talents tbh but I think Ronaldo has shaded it for the last 2 or 3 seasons. Both their records in the modern game will stand the test of time IMO.

I don't see what's so exciting about Ronaldo's personality. He preens and he whines. I don't know what Messi is like personally, but I like what I see on the pitch.

Its not so much that its exciting, its just that he has some. Its not as if anyone has to like him for it. Tiger Woods became such are more interesting character when it emerged his private life wasn't so clean cut.

I actually preferred Tiger Woods before his sleeping around came out, he still seems as dull as ever but now we know that he doesn't have the morals to not cheat behind his wife's back. It's not like he was having pschadelic orgies with midgets while skydiving, he's just using his money and status to get women. Not that interesting to me.

Ronaldo may have more personality on the pitch but if it's negative then I don't see how it's a good thing. I admire Messi because he's pretty tough for his size, doesn't dive and doesn't moan to the ref when he doesn't get his way. As well as being a sublime footballer.

Interesting to compare him to earlier players mate.
I would have put Best ahead of Cruyff mind.
I never thought I would ever see anybody as skilful as George Best again in my lifetime.
I think Best just edged Pele with his all round game, Pele could be stunning by his sudden bursts of energy.
My feeling is that Ronaldo is the best I have seen by a long stretch.
Pace, dribbling and heading all with a excellent reading of a game.
The only place Best would have edged him, is Best's willingness to get stuck in if it was needed.

But its about entertainment. Like I said no one has to like him for it. Superman would still be super if lex Luther wasn't there.

That makes about as much sense as "the Man of Steel" movie story line.
