I think he's been excellent this season full of energy He hasn't got the best touch I've ever seen but his goal at the end just goes to show he should be kept on for the full 90 mins. When taken off we lose that threat his presence causes
Wear his heart on his sleeve and never stops running. He has more determination than anyone else in the squad.
I've never seen a City player so desperate to score goals. He bollocks elmo every time he crosses it to someone else. Especially that one Elmo pulled back and Davies embarassed himself. Thats why you aim for ya centre forward. Just excellent, they just need to get him and Hernandez working in tandem. Him and Long clicked instantly. At times they arent close enough to each other, it'll come.
Calm down. There was only three players who did that last year and it was Toure, Sturridge and Suarez. If he does then we are incredibly lucky. Jelavic is a perfect example of how somebodies game has risen because of the new competition.
He's managed a goal every 2 games so far this season and his work ethic is exemplary. For a team of our stature in the top flight that is impressive. Not had a striker like this for a while.
It will be exciting when Hernandez gets another 5 games under his belt and gets some more match fitness.

I love Jelavic me. He's great for the team with his work and holdup play but he's clinical too. Perfect combination. I can't help but think better teams than us could use him. I still think we miss Long alongside him though. Hopefully Hernandez will be a lot better when he gets fit cos he's nowhere near as involved as Jelavic lately.
I just think Jelly needs a raise as the man can hardly pay to feed himself. Every time he scores a goal he starts to eat his shirt for ****s sake.
He has a great attitude, if he gets into double figures this season that will be a pretty good return.
As a Croatian that follows all Croatians in all the leagues, the real issue is service. The biggest issue is that our mid field doesn't provide service. If you look at the TOP teams in the world, what do they ALL have, an excellent midfield that provides excellent service. Football is pretty simple, score more goals than the other team. Now how you get there is the important part, and I'm still a firm believer, offense wins games, defenses wins championships We've had a great start, but to get above mid table our midfield needs to provide better service, control the ball and increase their pass percentage.
Your Long love astounds me. Personally I didn't think Long was very good. He was a panic buy in the January window He knew it, SB knew it, everyone bar you knew it. Hernandez is 10000000000000000000 times better. and an absolute steal to sell Long to Saints and get Abel for cheaper than he went for.
£12.5 million for Long was top business and could not be turned down We've Diame Robertson and Hernandez for a net spend of around £5 million Very good business in anyone's book
No doubt we got a good fee for Long but anyone could see he was very good for us and Bruce will have been reluctant to sell. He was much better than Hernandez has been so far. Hopefully he'll come good when he gets fit and sorted but he hasn't impressed me so far apart from the goal against West Ham.
