I'm not daft enough to compare them. Completely different players. I'd go as far to say they play different positions.

Because I've got eyes and a brain marra. One is a box to box the other is a DM, they aren't just central mids. CM is a very broad term, you got DM's, box to box, holding, deep lying playmakers.
Catts and Hendo are completely different. imo of course.
hendo by a mile, such a player it makes me proud he's a mackem, love watching him, he's superb
By the way Funk, we all know they don't have exactly the same DNA but they both play central midfield, no need for the shi*te. Who would people have in our central midfield ? Chill oot man !

WMS yer probs rite, but not by a mile. I would put Catts down for Stoke at home ahead of our Jordan. Sometimes he isn't involved, Catts can be the new Bally, you gonna know his midfield is there.

catts has simmered so much, but he's still got to watch the officials, he's really class, hendo is superior in that his vision is better, dont get me wrong, i love catts me, he oozes safc, all round hendo is better but i would play him along side him for england, but woy is too thick to even contemplate that they played together let alone his damning stats
I echo what WMS has said, overall Jordan has developed into a cracking all round centre mid, Catts is better at his role, and a leader, and I ****ing love the lad.
I wouldn't swap Catts for Jordan, despite me thinking Jordan is better ability wise.

No offence marra but i'm still waiting for your opinion, you should have included it in your op. I've had to ask and still non the wiser. Hate threads like this. It's lazy and rude. Why do you want to know? what are your views? I'm not here to entertain you. Debate is a two way street. I've given you my opinion, there's no need to pick Catts or Hendo, they're very different. I'd like them both in the same team obviously. You going to have any input at all? Or just quiz the rest of the posters? If you want to do a comparison it think it would be better if it was like for like, just a suggestion.

Hey Funk, I was asking who thought what, not telling everyone what I think. Thought it was a forum for collective debate. In answer to you I think Cattermole has been a better player for Sunderland than Henderson, both lack a bit of creativity but Cattermole influences games more.

Love them both me. Wish we never sold Hendo, what with the way the money was flushed down the ****ter. We may as well have given him away for free and told bruce he had no budget and we'd have still saved a fortune. I think Hendo would have been happy to stay on a a good few seasons longer. We should never had sold him. Hindsight eh?
