Of course we have to be wary, Stoke are a decent side, but they are beatable, and don't worry Gus is safe for now regardless. Gus does not divide opinion on here, he has the backing of just about everyone , we all have our own opinions of course and he has made a few debatable decisions what manager hasn't. We all know we could do with a win, it may be in our next game, but as long as we can see some gradual improvement all will be well over the course of the season.

Our overall play today was very good and we created a lot of chances. Alvarez looks a real find and Catts was outstanding again but the massive elephant in the room persists and is a hugely worrying fact.

We have one if the poorest strike forces in the division. Fletcher's heads up his arse; Wickham is working hard but doesn't look like scoring and then there's Graham and Altidore. 3 goals in 3 seasons between them.

You can paint as bright a picture as you want and choose to ignore the obvious all you like but the fact remains unless we improve our striking options it's the bottom third fight again for us this term. We spend too much time and emphasis on Borini in the summer and are now paying the penalty for ignoring, or not having a plan B.

    I'm worried for sure.

So if we continue this form of drawing plus 2 wins in the derby we will stay in prem league without any problem!

Anyone any idea, of which team has drawn the most games in one season, and how well that season finished?

We had one point and were playing s**t and the manager was an idiot after 8 games last season! We now have 5 points, are difficult to beat, are playing ok and have a good manager at the helm... Other than that the situation is identical! <doh>

Well, seeing how we're best buds, I'll tell you.

2004/5 season with 17 draws from 38 games & resulting in a 5th place finish was........

    Newcastle United.

    You're welcome.

Billy, just telling it like it is - do you have a problem with this? Like Smug, who seems to have a grudge bearing problem

17th place, 1 point from the drop zone and a problem finding the net - that's the reality. Why or how that makes me an unhappy person strikes me as odd.

Say's you. Read your own post back, you trying to goad him into an argument? You trying to derail your own thread for confrontation? If you can't take criticism or difference of opinion why create a thread based on your opinion to be scrutinised? You've taken Billy's comments ok. But smug makes a comment to billy and now your name dropping him and accusing him having the grudge. <doh> <laugh>

This is the thing that really makes me laugh about the Smug bashers, they're always guilty of exactly the same thing that they try to accuse him off.

Actually Bri, it is the other way around. (ref #30)

Smug is constantly accusing others of having a go at him on threads that has nothing to do with them, then he asks them to grow up and not bear a grudge <laugh>

But where's the grudge? He was essentially agreeing with billy in the form of a little joke, that's not a grudge, Smug is the same against all negativity, regardless of who it's from(Fact by the way), just like a number of posters are. Is his comment more offensive to you than Billy's? Who was a bit more more detailed with his dismantling of your negativity in comments 18 and 34?

So anyone who disagrees with your negativity(unless you like them of course) is holding a grudge? Are 12 years old? Why post at all if you feel that grudges are built on one sentence of disagreement. You've posted here long enough to know negativity after improvement will be scrutinised just like optimism after deterioration is also scrutinised, yet Smug's 13 word sentence amounts to a grudge. f**ing hell mate I'm embarrassed for you. You f**ing reek of Smug Grudge.

In reality it's just a half empty vs half full thread with you on one side(with others) and Smug on the other(with others).
