At McLaren there was an absolute feeling that working with someone who behaves like a jumped-up child had begun to way outweigh the obvious (great) talent that he brought to the team. I suspect that feeling was recognised within the Mercedes hierarchy when he decided to blab the (incorrect) details of a private in-team meeting to the press the other week.

A lot of great drivers have been total cockends. Senna, Prost, Schumacher, Piquet, to name a few from my era.

Different type of bell-end really though. They were all tough, and in some cases just dislikable (Piquet). Hamilton's childishness is the issue, and he really is a product of 'celebrity culture' too.

I'm just someone who isn't going to support a driver 'because they're British', that's all.

That's treason.

PS - Schumacher/Senna may have been bell ends on track at points, but both were hugely loved within their teams, which is a far more telling thing. It's a bit like when the British press conspired to make Vettel a panto villain - yes, he may have an annoying habit if waggling his finger when he wins, but speak to anyone working at RBR and they'll tell you he can be very tough with them, but ultimately he's a very decent human being (and very funny too).

I have not supported drivers for a few years now , for me , this season's best thing is how well Williams are doing :)

Here's a little nice-news music story amongst all the piracy issues and nonsense. We just put Fable's EP up on Bandcamp with a set price of £2.49, but with the option for people to 'overpay' should they so desire. The last two transactions have been £7.00 and £10.00.

Nice to see some people still appreciating work like this.

(It's here by the way - https://fable74.bandcamp.com/releases)

I'm right with you.
