Interesting read in the HDM today. Most startling is:

Firstly, the Allam family believe the process was biased and flawed due to the FA's decision to introduce a consultation with fans.

All previous name changes lodged with the FA have never taken into account the views of supporters or key stakeholders, but the City bid did.

So there you go. That's what these tossers think of their customers.

Boo away those of little substance.

I thought AA initially encouraged consultation with the fans as per statements he made prior to his bid to change the name?

Clutching, grasping and desperately reaching at straws to save face.

The examples they have used have no substance either, Whitehawk FC to Brighton and Hove City was presumably thrown out because it is too similar to Brighton and Hove Albion. Darlington 1883 to Darlington FC was thrown out because Darlington FC were dissolved and you cannot name the new club the same as the previous.

Neither are comparable really.

I'm not sure the FA will even entertain an appeal on those grounds, 'you shouldn't have asked fans' is a really **** reason to dispute the outcome.
But if they HAVE done something they HAVEN'T done before and have used it as a reason then as much as I don't like it they will probably win the appeal.

If however they are being selective of which cases they are looking at then they won't.

My point is that no matter how **** the reasons if they have a real point then the FA may have to look at it again.

They've lied constantly. They hold no regard for the supporters. In fact, they've shown utter disdain for supporters of our football club. Quite how anyone can support them now, big money signings or not, is totally beyond me.

No they haven't, the other two weren't even voted on, they were dismissed without any consultation because they failed to meet the necessary rules for an application in the first place.

Wasn't it even about the only bit we could find out about the procedure that there must be consultation?

So Allam is appealing on the grounds that it's unfair his club has proper supporters who care about their club, when every other club who's gone through the process' fans didn't give a ****.

Suggested FA Response:

Dear Dr Alllam,

**** off, you've got to be taking the piss.

Regards,

I think the FA rules are general and can be either, but the Premier League rules require consultation.

It's actually the Premier League rules that say you need fan consultation before any changes of this type.

This whole farce is damaging us as a club.

Remember any of our incidents that went to the FA... Namely the Sagbo one.

They hate us and will do anything to inconvenience us. Our appeals won't be lifted, anything caught on camera however slight will be punished heavy handedly.

Allam needs to go before the FA decide enough is enough and ban us from returning to the football league when we get relegated.

If you say so.

That's my presumption. My overall point though is what a low light the current owners regard the fans. To be pissed off that the supporters were consulted is an insult. Are people so desperate for Premier League football that they are willing to be treated like t**ts?

I thought Hull people had more principals than that. Generally they aren't to be pissed about.

The irony is most of them regard Vincent Tan as a raving lunatic and wouldn't want him anywhere near our club.

I think Allam has compelled them in some way. Maybe he's been sending sub-conscious psychological messages through the big screen or secretly hypnotising people in an attempt to brainwash the city's inhabitants.
