I'm not going into detail as this thread will be deleted (I'm certain of that).

My thanks go to all of the honest posters, who have engaged genuine debate over time. This forum has provided me with hours of distraction, information and enjoyment for several years.

If I post my reasons for leaving the thread will be deleted which is in itself an explanation.

I hate these types of posts, they imply a desire for a response such as "please don't go", but this is not the objective, it is simply to say thank you to the majority and bollocks to the minority (of one).

Did you expect anything less ,the mods on here let some get away with so much personal abuse to other members who have a different opinion it's unbelievable probably because they are pally pally,you have more chance of being banned by not agreeing with them or being abusive back to one of their pals.

Shame your leaving because of one plonker.
 
How many decent posters are going to leave before the problem gets sorted?

This all day long. The mods are really poor at the moment and need to step up and start getting more of a grip. This site really is being ****ing tedious with repetitive threads and quite frankly the outrageous abuse aimed at good posters from a minority of obviously challenged individuals. Sort it Mods and do your job before you find you will be dealing with idiots only
(cue usual suspects with usual comments)

There is quite a bit of unnecessary abuse and some are particularly unwelcoming to new members.

I mentioned a bit back that I'd been taking a back seat after a few commented that they wanted less moderation.

Perhaps the answer is for people to ignore the obvious trolls and post your own threads about topics that interest you?

Is it just me who doesnt notice who any of the posters are? The only ones I recognise are OLM, Macca and Carmine and all because of their very distinctive avatars. I never actually look at the name of anyone posting. It's not deliberate, it's lazy but I also think it helps to judge each post on its own merit rather than having preconceived opinions of the poster.

I honestly couldnt tell you anything Omega Man has ever posted but by law of averages I've probably had discussions with him.

I'm like you, in general I just read and respond to the reply, but unfortunately there are some on here that seem to look for certain posters to carry on some one sided feud.
