Beddytare - the swop of Big Vic for Shane Long was IMHO very tactical. Sissoko was the only threat in the first half and was causing Snidders, Davis and Corky to keep dropping deeper than RK wanted due to his surging runs (he is one big unit and fast)

With Big Vic sat in the deep centre of midfield, Sissoko was forced wide and disappeared from the game as time went by, nobody out muscles Big Vic!

Great move RK

Thanks DL....I still wouldn't have predicted it though......As you say though it was a plan "B" so to speak...which we have not been used to.

He's tactically way ahead of MP.

I think MP's plan A was revolutionary for English football. However, it was something he'd learned from others and he hasn't shown any understanding of ways to alter it to fit different situations. We never came from behind to win with MP. It took us two prem games to do so with Koeman.

I'm looking forward to lots of amusing photos of players who are merely 6'2 trying to hug him. Isgrove will just have to clutch him round the knees if Pelle hasn't already trod on him.

Looked up their heights on OS: Pelle and Gardos are both 6'4. Schneiderlin is a midget at 5'11, but strangely is only 1'' taller than Isgrove at 5'10. All I can say is that Izzie must have exceedingly thick socks or heel lifts.

i was a bit worried before the start of the season. i went to the leverkusen game and although it was only a friendly we had no cutting edge whatsoever. we should have got something from the liverpool game but then lacked anything going forward against wba. look terrific now though, pelle is settling in well and the next 4 home games are all very very winnable
