He has a point Strolls. All day posters have been complaining about the one-sided coverage leading up to this game. I thought, who the fukk do they think we are that we deserve 50/50 when we're playing United? You only get what you deserve and it would've been insulting to any football fan if the coverage was dumbed down to facilitate a small team who get beaten practically every time they play United. Some Geezers living in and around W12 get caught up in a bubble and don't realise we're a small fish in a big pond. (And the result should make those posters think twice the next time they start banging on about unequal air time)
He was very, very good. Without him today they weren't all that, RVP was pretty rubbish as was their defence.
Well said. I particularly like the ''We ideally want a philosophy at this club, a style of play and an identity'' part of it.
Di Maria, He who looks like a Spanish Toby jug, was world class. Mata was excellent too. Arry was tactically naive playing hill as left back. They were not that much better than us, Even though they had more possession, until DiMaria scored with an in perfect free kick. Traore came on and we were better.Phillips missed a golden chance to make it 1-1, Vargas also could have scored. We were poor, But not as poor as against spurs. I expect that Joey and Mitch were not risked to be kept for next week. I am not as down as others here
What the hell ! Was i asking for too much???? Bloody hell collymore was right when he said that : "Surely QPR know that this is not a testimonial match"? Anyway embarrasing performance once again and every player looked like they were stoned. Green was absolutely kack. When you are playing premiership you cant afford these kind of mistakes. About 12-14 shots on target in two away matches this season and 8 (EIGHT!!!) of them have go in!!!! Absolutely horrible
Traore showed exactly how we should have approached the game, get on yer bike and get at em, he cut slices through their heart two or three times in the 2nd half, why couldn't Hoilett, Phillips or Isla have tried this?
No-one is expecting equal coverage Swords but the Sky coverage was little short of worshipping at the altar of Old Trafford, I know it's Sunday but the sermons, particularly from Tyler were nauseating in the extreme, it's just a shame we followed his script enabling him to preach his tosh all afternoon...
Swords....unfortunate our team and Arry gave Man U the same undeserved respect and admiration that the press did. But unfortunate my you too are falling into the same trap as one rule for the big clubs, another for the also runs....which is so typified by FFP. I loved the way Sky drowled over the millions spent on the United teams and in the same breath said that we were in breach of the FFP...They must have realised how stupid they sounded
Good post Beth. I agree that Harry was thinking as much about Stoke as today with his selection. I'm gutted to lose 4 nil again but not down. Not even close - yet!
Agreed, as I previously wrote Di Maria, Blind and Herrera aside they weren't all that. Rooney and RVP are in serious decline and are going to be on the bench soon as. As for their manager Harry may be no oil painting but Van Gaal is truly a monster.
I wouldn't have played Ferdinand today. Too much of the coverage has been around him, and I wasn't convinced that he was in the right place mentally today. I really wanted to see us going in hard early on today - ensure that United knew we were there and up for a game Instead we showed them too much respect and let them off too easily - how could we not pick up yellow cards for being combative in a game that we were losing? Need to focus on beating Stoke now - let's move on
