Betty that's different. Redknapp set us all up wrong today and gave them far too much respect. You're totally right there. But why should the media give us any respect relative to United until we've earned it? We've earned nothing but the right to play them. If we establish ourselves in the league and start taking a few scalps then we can expect more respect. But respect is earned and if you look at it from an unbiased point of view, we're a Mickey Mouse team that's just been promoted and are there to be destroyed. We were destroyed today and until we can step up and compete then I'd be insulted if we were given any more air time. Again, I think this is something ST holders struggle with because they exist in the shadow of L R where nothing but QPR permeates. We'll get the coverage when we deserve it.
Swordsy We had a week of coverage about FFP, we get plenty of negative coverage actually. I also live not in the shadow of LR, but in a small village that is of course full of Chelsea and Man Utd supporters. I am not in a cocoon. I am more in hiding at moment.
I can't remember ever being as maddened by a Rangers performance (I didn't see the Spurs game though). I was in a pub with some pals, all sympathetic towards us, but there were some 'Cockney Reds' at the back laughing at our performance. DT would have loved it.
The sickness Makes a good read after a match on here My contribution not seeing or knowing the match ? Apart from the BbC How do you build a new team make them unfit and have no confidence ? Only at QPR! Quiz I said 0-1 to us Other threads said it could be 5 or more Henry on for Sandro the beast How did he play? Who was best ? Sandro or Henry ? Stoke next we no excuses That Hughes was rubbish his teams are always getting thrashed without a fight ? One thing for sure I won't be holding anything against Hughes We have Harold and Glenn now The theorists. Frome you cheeky monkey love ya xxx
In some ways I agree with that. LR is like the s**t, at least it's warm and familiar, however it's what will condemn us to failure in the present and future Premier League due to capacity. It's too late now for a new stadium to change that as the die is set for the chosen few who will be permanent fixtures in this league. We've missed the bus if there ever was a bus to catch. Forget the stadium, where's the sodding new training ground for starters.
We didn't give it a good enough go. I didn't feel we had a good plan either. Don't agree we set up to stop Manure- we only had Sandro holding in front of the back 4. But the attacking selections were off. What we missed most were players who could hold the ball a bit, Niko did occasionally but not Hoillet or Austin or Fer or definitely not Phillips. We needed Adel today and Vargas or OBZ if we were going to keep the ball and have a go at them. If we weren't going to have a go at them we'd have done better playing Henry instead of Phillips, Traore as well as Clint and parking the bus. But Arry knows best. Or does he?
I thought Rob Green was somewhat lacking in the manner some of those goals squeezed in between him and the post, although he did make a few good blocks later in the game to keep the score down - I would be inclined to give Alex McCarthy an opportunity to show what he can do. As Harry said post-match, they hardly had any shots on goal. Looking at the goals, Rio was severely lacking too on a number of them in not reading the play, with all his assumed experience. Onuoha should be re-installed at CB, Yun at LB and Taarabt & Vargas started.
I am not surprised at the result today. I was expecting a five goal defeat & for us to "perfrom" exactly as we did, but I do agree it was better than at Tottenham. That only shows what we had to endure sat in the Park Lane that day! As I said. I'm not surprised but I am definitely disappointed that my expectations were warrented. It would be nice if we ever started a match intent on winning the game rather than trying to avoid losing. My bigest concern is that our leader feels that he can blame a lack of fitness when he is ultimatly in charge of the condicioniong & he chose to play a central midfield three that are all unfit. I have never liked Karl Henry but how can you leave him out & play three players that combined wouldn't come close to his fitness? Even Ned would have offered more in that role than Sandro was able to & Traore or Tarrabt would have had more influence than Niko.
He's bog standard average, no more no less. I'd give Murphy a run as I think he's earned it more than the boy from Reading
Did you mean 'too much absinthe'? No absinthe, just Guinness, but I am ****ing seething about that gutless performance. I feel for those that went to the game.
The team and club are second to Harold's Ego listen to Imaz ... Where's the training ground? QPR May go down as the biggest PR hype in football
