What will Liverpool win in the 2014-15 season...?

  1. Premier League

  2. Champions League

  3. FA Cup

  4. League Cup

  5. As much as Everton and Spurs!

Just over half premier league teams I'd say to be fair. I accept that some are more effective, like City & Everton, than others.

  2. I guess we should concentrate on the CL now Man Utd are going to win the league then...

A very simplistic view. Literally the only thing in common between us and spurs was that scoreline and you've grabbed on to it to make a pretty weak point. Football isn't simple equations where 2 and 2 equals four and you can compare teams based on scorelines against common oppositions.

Did you not see any difference to our style of play, particularly from how we played through the middle and used our width to create space. I thought it was a breath of fresh air from the dire stuff we'd been playing so far. The result was secondary to the quality of attacking play. That was a raw performance, I'm looking forward to when the players really start to gel. Our defence was still questionable but I think that will depend on how well they're protected by Herrera/Blind/Carrick.

Angel Di Maria plays for Manchester United. A beautiful sentence and one that I still can't quite believe.

Blind and Herrera looked good as well.

    QPR were shocking though.

I maintain that our defensive frailties are being massively exaggerated. They may not be world class centre halves but I think Smalling and Jones, with Blind sat in front of them, will be competent enough to get us to where we need to get to this season.

Qpr will be relegated based on that, the lads who never bothered to get tight and gave up and the manager who came for a 0-0 will learn in this league every point is vital. Stoke beat city, Sunderland took a point off utd, burnley....

I think Leicester will give utd a better test but the manc will feel good tonight

You had one tactic today; Pass the ball to Di Maria, let him run with it and get something from the run. Its the same tactic Van Gaal used at the WC with Robben. Worked very well today cause QPR are poor and their defence is very slow.
Wonder what will happen when you play a team that actually wants to mark Di Maria and rough him up a little (think of Citeh, Chavs or even a Stoke).

Credit to Blind though, he did the DM role well.

Your defence still looked ropey, the CB's almost gifted a terrible QPR team a goal or two. Rojo didn't do much and Rafael still looks like a red card waiting to happen.
