Forster 7 - Very solid on what he had to do.

Clyne 6 - Fairly quiet game, untested at right back

Alderweireld 7 - Solid in what he did, not a huge amount to do

Fonte 7 - Forming a good partnership with Toby.

Bertrand 8 - Got forward well all day and good cross for first goal.

Schneiderlin 8 - Very composed in the middle of the park and a great finish for the goal

Cork 8 - Him and Morgan dominated the midfield and took his goal well.

Tadic 7 - Very unselfish for Pelle's 2nd goal and plenty of production from the left wing.

Davis 6 - Quiet game, didn't offer much going forward.

Long 6 - Should have won a penalty when Krul clattered him. Went off injured.

Pelle 9 MOTM - Was a handful all game and thoroughly deserved his 2 goals.

Forster did make one poor piece of judgement coming into no mans land for a cross he fluffed, but that save was top notch. 7.

Otherwise pretty much what everyone has said.

Koeman - 9

Excellent tactics but for the sloppy 20 mins after our second goal he would have got a 10

Day couldn't have gone any better really!

Tbf, he recognised that and mentioned that he wasn't happy about it when interviewed. Good for him for that.

Shining star was Pelle who killed the game in our favour in 15 mins. Think Forster is a monster for us at the back, Toby had a sold debut,Cork surprised me with his attacking ability( cork lovers please edit).
Swansea and Qpr, anyone for 13 points out of 18 _ summer meltdown , Koeman very promising start

Mmm you're not a Davis fan Tom? I thought he was excellent in the first half. He was moved slightly out of position in the second, but still got an assist. A 7 for me.

A 9 for Davis' first half. A 6 for his second half. An 8 overall.

For all the **** Pelle has already taken mom9/10' two chances, two goals, back the guy, no glass ceiling this year, anything is possible, remember 1984 ( older viewers) / damn !Notts County

Did he? I honestly missed that. I'm not a huge Davis fan I must admit. Last season I was often calling for Gaston to start instead.

He als created two other chances virtually from nothing that ended on target. The ball down the right hand 'channel' in the first half, he somehow got a shot on target that Krul spilled and another shot on the turn (not powerful though) that was straight at Krul.

His lay-offs were what really impressed me though.

He is finding his feet for sure.

On attitude, Pelle defeats our last Italian, hands down. He's also settled better into the Premier League, his work-rate is fantastic and... I actually think he's a better all-round player.

Pelle isn't just tall, he's a giant...see how casually he carried two of our players after he scored....and they weren't midgets. But he isn't just a big front man...he shows vision and little touches to put other players in...so he isn't a selfish player.
