We've just reached an FA Cup final and have recruited a team of players which on paper can make us comfortably midtable. All this done under the name of Hull City. The name change is completely unnecessary and is due to a sulky old fart wanting his own way.

But that would still happen with Hull City.

    Success = Growth

There has been no evidence whatsoever that Hull Tigers would lead to success. Hull City already has been successful.

Why split your fanbase for something that is entirely unresearched?

What's your point? Are you suggesting that allams tickets are too expensive? or that we've got a fickle fan base who are only interested in seeing the bigger teams?

Probably but seeing as we got less than 15000 against Millwall, in the promotion season under Brucey, which was the third home win on the trot and was on a Satdee in a sunny September what is your point.

I'm not saying he should. My point is that if this club becomes a Premier League force and we play more attractive football the attendances will rise.

What do you Yes men believe a "premier league force" is?

City/ Hull Tigers won't go above mid table without serious investment, which he doesn't have & nobody will give us money based on a name change alone.

It was foolish to say what he said in his interview, because now cretins like you and Patty believe it. And you do because you're regurgitating it.

Even finishing top half won't surpass getting to a Cup Final & Europe as HCAFC.

So you're saying that what we had last season wasn't success? Most on here would say it was, yet our season pass sales are down.

When 3,000 long standing season ticket holders don't renew, following your most successful season ever, you know you've ****ed something up.

Those 3000 fans didnt renew despite knowing that the FA had rejected the name change so the two are not related.
I know a few season ticket holders who didn't renew and it was all to do with the price increases. That is not someone f**ing up, that is just the cost of participating in the most watched league in the world. The price of success.

Is that success achieved as Hull City AFC, nickname The Tigers?

Why would any company, whatever the business, rebrand when they are achieving their greatest ever success?

Charging £50 for a match is ok with you, then?

Obviously many didn't renew due to the price increases, some didn't renew due to being moved out of their regular seats and some didn't renew because they feel increasingly disconnected from the club they've supported for years(Allam carrying on with the name change bollocks is hardly a surprise), whatever the reason, it's a crying shame that long standing supporters are no longer season ticket holders.

It's also poor business, if we get relegated(which will happen at some point), then the attendances will fall dramatically as the Premier League only fans disappear.

There's quite a few cretins in football who believe; a successful club, good players and attractive football is a recipe for success and higher attendances.... maybe you know better.

I think a few of the arse lickers need to check the simple hard facts

    1. Changing our name to hull tigers will not bring us success, success comes on the pitch, something of which we achieved last year as hull city
    2. Changing the name will not bring in this magical amount of money that you all seem to think it will, he already said the other day that we lost out on 1million pound from not changing the name, well 1million divided by 16000 season ticket holders equals £62.50 each which I'm pretty sure was covered in the price rise.
    3. And the most important point, I've seen deluded people on here talking about us becoming a force, get a bloody grip. The best we can hope for is a consistent premier league team with the odd flirt in a cup competition! To become a top team you need a lot more money then allam has and also a lot more then a name change would achieve.

Why anybody who is supposed to be a business man would want to constantly turn his own clubs fans against each other is beyond me! Everybody is entitled to there opinion but I have yet to hear one person who is a yes supporter tell me a valid reason to support the name change. And the 'he's our best owner ever and he's put all this money in' is not a valid reason to support it. If he goes (which I hope he does) I will be very appreciative of the work he has done but this name change is pure and simply a bitter old man who doesn't like not getting his own way and will turn people against each other and lie to try and get his own way

Simple question, probably asked before, but I'm interested to know -

Who actually thinks that 'Hull Tigers' is a good name?

    Reveal yourselves.

that isnt totally true is it?
we will be a success on the pitch, so that means that we will get more people bringing their families and the kids will get black and amber blood.
now, you will be missed but you're not irreplacable.
