And I agree with him; it's a beautiful country, great way of life and lovely people..... until you work with them. I'll be popping over again later this month to the office.
Can't we report spurs for tapping up? This is the most blatant case I've ever seen, and the player is openly talking about it in the press! A player shouldn't have a contract and be free to 'agree a deal' with another club. Makes me mad
I think most transfers these days have personal terms agreed before the actual fee, not saying it's right, but the way it is in the modern game.
Don't see how it can be avoided. Human beings talk to each other. The most likely thing is not a formal agreement, but Mauricio 'having a word.'
http://www.thetottenhamway.com/2014...fuses-rule-out-morgan-schneiderlin-sale-2877/ Anyone pick this up from Koeman's press conference...I didn't.
Looks like Spuds covering their backsides in case the new boys don't work out. I didn't hear Koeman say anything about that either and I reckon they'll have to offer a whole lot more to get him in January. Anyway, with a bit of luck, by then they'll be looking for another manager
Letting him go in January won't satisfy the fans.....not that we have any say in the end. Summer at the earliest I would think and I doubt it will be Spurs...can they afford stupid money (which is all we'll accept)?
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...derlin-non-transfer-southamptons-best-4205529 Found the quote in the Mirror. As they said, he refused to be drawn on the future...I think he was just palming them off and didn't want to make a quote that could come back and bite him (after all who knows what can happen months down the line...he is the manager, not a member of the board). I think Ron's positivity about Morgan suggests he doesn't see him leaving that early.
In January, he won't want to join a team that is lower in the league with Jurgen Klinsmann as manager
He didn't say anything of that nature to the video media. The newspapers and internet journalists then get their exclusive go, but not one other journo has picked that up. I think it is pure fiction. If I was Koeman I would bloody annoyed. Of course, it just happens to be a Spurs based publication, so that figures. Alternatively, there is article after article reporting that Koeman feels that Schneiderlin is the best piece of business Saints did this summer, by keeping hold of him, with not a single sniff of a mention that he might be allowed to leave in January. Of the articles that refer to this, take your pick: http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Premier League/Southampton
Simon Peach @SimonPeach · 27s Schneiderlin: “I had a big step in the World Cup, so I didn't want to struggle. The club showed by buying players they still have ambitions"
Simon Peach @SimonPeach · 10s Schneiderlin: “Losing players like Shaw, Lambert, Lallana, Lovren - it’s something very hard to replace and after four games we are happy"
Another quote from Schneiderlin from the Mirror after the Newcastle game: "But the club showed, by buying some good players and bringing in a top manager, that they still have ambitions, and that is really what I was asking for. I’m very happy here, the club has been very good to me for seven years now and I want to pay them back." http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/southamptons-tottenham-transfer-target-morgan-4259823?
