hell yeah, should win the season on his own as a striker.

    Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho:
"What can we expect? Diego is a team player who works hard, he's not just about goals.
"It's about his defensive work, mentality and ambition. This is the player we bought and we were waiting for since last season. This is why we didn't buy a striker in the winter market. We were waiting for him, we have him and hopefully everything goes well.
"He looks adapted to the team, and the Premier League, not just Chelsea, should be happy. Sometimes we lose important players going to other countries and sometimes we bring new top players here."

    Another hammy injury to DC.

    http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/29083173

This watch thread might be having equal share of his goals & injuries - I am afraid.

I am glad atleast we have Remy and Drog as backup instead of Nando & Eto'o.

Costa does like like a great team player. He works hard and does his bit in defence. He's not an out and out striker like Henry was or Falcao, but he is always at the right place at the right time, a bit like Shearer. And when he sights the goal he's mostly on target. If the medicos can sort this hamstring , he's our winner, but recurring hamstrings are often the sign of a chronic back or disc condition. I am a tad worried, but hopefully it's just a tear. Either way, he will need cosseting until it clears up. Enter Drogba and Remy.

Sky is saying its looking positive for the weekend game, Chelsea medical staff have worked their magic. Cue, wums stating Jose's influence over international managers is bad for the game. You heard it here first.

According to some Sanish football journo Spain prefer to play with a false 9 and Costa doesn't figure much in their plans.
Bet he is well pleased he chose to play for them

I pray he is rested against Schalke. His hamstrings just scare me he isn't over the niggle yet.

Mourinho says he will start against City apparently. Let's hope he can continue his good form. BTW many pundits including Jason Cundy say we would take a point??? Are they on something we should be aiming to win, we are a much more rounded and better team in my opinion compared to last season.

I agree. I know its possibly the hardest away fixture, but considering the form we are in in the league and City's lack of it, we should really be winning this. Plus if Stoke can go and get a win there, I think we could too lol.

We shoved Everton aside with pure attacking quality and they were always a close second for the hardest away game we face.

If Yaya wants to continue to sulk his way through the season and Matic re-pockets David Silva then we should win tomorrow.
