  • Premier League

  • Champions League

  • FA Cup

  • League Cup

  • As much as Everton and Spurs!

<laugh> <laugh> . Saw this today, don't care if its already been posted somewhere, its still funny!!

#hypocrites

How much did you spend? Out of interest. Nowhere near 117million i bet.

Nice try.<laugh>

We had a threadbare squad last season, one of the smallest in the league, we have CL footy this season and needed a bigger squad end of.

What was yooniteds excuse for spending almost £200m?

Only the league and fa cup to play in and a CL squad full of maga money left sided players.

Almost 200million? Eh?

150million almost you mean. And we lost what, 11 players over the summer? Seems logical that with so many outgoings we would need to spend quite a lot.

So Falcao's "loan" for 24m doesn't count?

£170.5m, and you told us this time last season that yoonited were champions and were the best squad in the prem.<laugh>

We were champions and quite clearly had the best squad in 2012/13. Bring up the table amd i will explain why.

Are we including wages too? Your spendings a whope lot higher. Very comparable to ours...

Tell me page, whats liverpools revenue like? Ours is insane so big spending is of no concern. Is yours like that? Could you spend without selling a 65million player each year?

Right can we remind ourselves that "rival watch" is supposed to be about what's new or what result our rivals get

Not an fn boring samey pissing contest?

This thread is as dull as a 0-0 with burnley

Of course we could spend, Rodgers had 60+m to spend pre Suarez departing.

As for your sooper dooper squad, they got carried by 3 or 4 good players during transitional seasons for City and Chelsea.

The table is far from settled yet, but the results next weekend almost look like they were planned to be a whole weekend of 6 pointers based on table position.

I count 7 matches that in the early, unsettled table look like 6 pointer games where teams are playing rivals.
(no I don't really think Swansea vs Chelsea is a 6 pointer in the grand scheme of things... but in the tables current look it is)

Arsenal Vs Man City - Two teams expected to finish top 4.
Chelsea Vs Swansea - 1st and 2nd in league at the moment
Cry Pal Vs Burn - Bottom two teams in league at the moment
West Brom Vs Everton - 17th and 18th - two bottom of the table neighbours.
Liverpool Vs Villa - 3rd vs 5th
Utd Vs QPR - QPR are just two places above United in the lower mid-table.
Hull Vs Ham - 9th and 11th - two places apart.

It's almost like there are Lizardmen who planned the season out so that this would be the ultimate 6 pointer weekend.
