Interesting to not Diego Forlan is a free Agent, I wonder if we get that desperate? http://sofifa.com/team/111592-free-agents
Hmm. If I remember he didn't really suit the prem. Still, better than anyone on the list that was put up earlier.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugo_Almeida What about him......???? 30 yrs, good scoring rate and played in WC 2014. Maybe wants too much salary? Short term contract?
Valencia have just released Jonas, Brazilian international. This report says his agent is contacting us as they know we are interested in a free agent striker. Again the issue will be the wages, but his record is far more impressive than Borini. http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/sunderland-qpr-alerted-valencia-release-jonas-contract-4038589#.VAXUSmRdVQV
Would be good, but I'm sure we wont stretch to his wages, but then we supposedly agreed terms with Defoe who's supposedly on 80k a week?? I'm of the opinion that a wage is worth paying for the right player, if a striker can score the goals that make us safe then 90k a week is cheap. Pay that wage and they flop, like the last lot of so called stars then everyone says you've gone mad. Oh for a magical crystal ball that could let you see how it would work out.

The pounds 7 million Uruguayan, branded a mis-fit earlier in the campaign, hit a late low shot ten minutes from time to seal a pulsating contest in which the imagination of two illustrious attacks was matched only by the solidity of the defences, in particular Mikael Silvestre and William Gallas. The French pair performed to such a high standard that a draw seemed inevitable. But Forlan had other ideas and rattled home David Beckham's pass - his seventh goal of the campaign - to set up a twolegged semi-final appearance. â¦
We were willing to pay £10 million plus add-ons for Borini, and a rumoured £58k per week. With no transfer fee, this fella could be worth paying inflated wages for a one-year contract.
Indeed, I wonder if the board are looking at players like this today? The only real issue is whether other players start getting all out of joint knowing a new player is on higher wages and it start to affect team spirit, but I think players shouldn't worry about others wages, if they want more play harder!
Jonas only had his contract cancelled last night I think - something to do with La Liga's non-EU player rule.
I don't think Forlan is a free agent. He signed for Cerezo Osaka in January 2014 on an 18 month deal. That link is for the FIFA video game.
Damm. That's harsh. I'm sure she's a lovely woman but remind me to never pop up on her radar as a threat. Anyway enough about Forlan, your other half has a good wit. Like it.
