It's true, you are too easy. Be honest though, would you back your strongest team, at home, in front of a full Ipswich crowd of 2k to beat: Rudd Whittaker Cuellar Miquel Garrido EBennett O'Neil Howson Murphy McGrandles Jerome What percentages would you give for a win/draw/loss against that lot. Honestly.
For Evans to turn down a combined sum of just under £10 Million proves that we are in a far stronger financial position than we thought! Not many teams in this league would turn down that sort of money. We played a couple of kids against Derby and as a team we played them off the park second half so hopefully we are getting back to the model that served us so well in the past. We are giving the kids a chance and its not before time!A couple of decent additions in the loan window and we can get things back on track.
another way of looking at it, who would get in the first norwich eleven or even the second string? and by the way, the squad depth at norwich is perfectly illustrated below Ipswich Goalkeepers Gerken; Bialkowski Norwich Goalkeepers Ruddy; Bunn; Rudd; Matthews ---- Ipswich Defenders Parr; Mings; Chambers; Smith; Berra; Hewitt; Wyatt Norwich Defenders Whittaker; Cuéllar; Martin; Turner; Garrido; Olsson; R Bennett; Bassong; Gafaiti; Callan-McFadden; Toffolo; Miquel; Hooiveld ---- Ipswich Midfielders Hyam; Stewart; Skuse; Anderson; Hunt; Bru; Tabb; Henshall; Lawrence; Bishop; Clarke Norwich Midfielders Johnson; Howson; Hoolahan; E Bennett; Josh Murphy; Redmond; Jacob Murphy; Tettey; O'Neil; Hall-Johnson; McGeehan; McGrandles; Odjidja-Ofoe ---- Ipswich Forwards Murphy; McGoldrick; Bajner; McQueen; Sammon Norwich Forwards Grabban; Lafferty; Jerome; Hooper; Loza; Awuah ---- i think we'd have to say berra would get in our second eleven and possibly the first team. scrapping the barrel with the rest. only other debate, would you take mcgoldrick over hooper? i wouldn't.
Ah I must have missed the press release where Leicester declined to buy Hooper. Please point me to that one, thanks.
yeah once, and once only. and that was down to our bad play rather than something special from you. Look at it this way, you boys would have been bigging up a 1-0 defeat to somebody with a significant more money than yourselves over the past 3 years.
actually made me smile that warky - arguably your best comeback ever? of course, the fact hooper is currently injured would also likely deter them. and the fact hooper doesn't want to leave norwich while mcgoldrick, by your managers own admission, has 'had his head turned'. good luck with that one
bigging up a defeat? wow. even the ridiculous disparity between the top premier league clubs and ourselves (a much bigger gulf than between us and you) never led to anything like that. ipswich really have fallen on hard times if that's how you feel...
had we only won 2-0, it still would have glossed over the gulf between the teams, so not sure why the score line matters. we missed some great chances, that's for sure. and that was our worst display of the season in my opinion, though still fairly controlled. played in first gear and you can't do that in this league, unless you're playing ipswich of course
not being funny supers, I lost count the number of times your boys tried to pass it and it went out of play, It was a poor game by both sides, which you deserved to win granted, but you were never comfortable until the final whistle blew against a team of freebies.
