Humble apologies all. I was convinced that Woodward was going to cock it all up again this year, but it seems at long last he's got his act together. If her can ditch some of the dead wood as well, that would be a bonus.

Respect to you for responding to your earlier comments and not having your judgement clouded by pride. Perhaps a lesson for you to comment after the window has closed - but we live and learn. I can sympathize with you on the non-trust of Woodward though, still seems to have the jury out.

Still not sure he can be trusted BinterBanter, he's too much of a Glazier yes man. Maybe LVG got stuck into him and he realised he needed to do better. That smug grin every times his pic appears doesnt instill confidence either

Fellaini

Who else must he sign for you to be confident that he's delivering the goods?

SSN - ''The fee for Radamel Falcao loan is £6M. It will come off the buy-option if Manchester United decide to purchase the player.''

No mate you were right to begin with.

It's not so much who he's managed to secure personnel wise, it's issues concerning his performance in the future - will he be able to obtain good value for players? Can he be as decisive as his role demands? The general consensus is that since his appointment the club have overpaid for what they have acquired (wouldn't necessarily agree with this, personally think it's been a bit of a mixed bag). I know often it is said that United are expected to pay a premium when it comes to buying players but this is when the Chief Executive should excel - I want Woodward to be perceived as a tough negotiator so when other clubs are contacted about their players' availability they don't add another £10 m to their realistic price tag. Furthermore, his perception from the window before the 13/14 season was that he can be quite indecisive. I was fuming when it went down to the wire and the club ended up paying over the odds for Fellaini. It gave out an unprofessional image, was a poor deal financially, and gave off the wrong impression to the player (metaphorically conveyed that he was a last minute back up). But he's done a good job in redeeming himself this summer.

1 bad summer, 1 good summer, hence why the jury is still out.

Radamel Falcao has arrived at Carrington ahead of his proposed loan move to Manchester United from Monaco.
