Swansea hoping to hijack Hull’s move for World Cup winger Andre Ayew seems close to a move to the KC Stadium, but Swansea have other ideas (Swansea hoping to hijack Hull’s move for World Cup winger) Garry Monk wants to recruit in two positions in order to complete what he believes will be a competitive squad this season. According to the South Wales Evening Post the Swans’ former centre-half wants a winger and a left-back to round off his 25-man party, but in order to land his wide-man he’ll have to rub Hull City up the wrong way. The Tigers are reportedly close to landing a £6m move for Marseille and Ghana forward Andre Ayew, but Monk has designs on the World Cup star. Ayew scored two goals for the Black Stars during the Brazil-based tournament and has 34 to his name in 125 Ligue appearances for L’OM. An international veteran of 51 caps, Ayew is able to play on either flank as well as through the middle, offering Monk the kind of versatility he surely craves from any potential incoming winger on deadline day.
£6m for Ayew is a ****ing great price. Not sure how he fits, and I still think we need a DM, but I would love us to sign this player. He is top class.
Rumours (almost certainly bollocks) that Arsenal are preparing a £22m Bony bid. Also an online rumour that Lucas Leiva might join on loan (you didn't start it did you Swanselona?) One that I would love to see happen now....Canas goes to Almeira and Ramon Azeez comes the other way (I think he'd be a perfect understudy for Leon myself) Christ I hate deadline day!
Inside Futbol claim that Ayew has rejected Hull and is weighing up offers from Swansea and QPR (QPR would definitely have the funds to outbid us, especially with the sale of Remy for £10.5m this weekend)
QPR trying to sign Borini (supposedly). Villa trying to sign Sergio Canales (Real Sociedad) and are also now being linked with Ayew. Leicester might be going for David McGoldrick ......and Alex Bray is joining Plymouth on loan
I love deadline day because it means we might make a few more decent signings. Bony isn't going anywhere.
Hull City have signed Uruguay striker Abel Hernandez for £9m. Burnley have signed, young Chelsea CB/DM, Nathaniel Chalobah on a season long loan.
