Not unreasonable. It certainly look like Liverpool could use him. A nice pass found Henderson alone in front of the keeper, but he was unable to do anything with it. If it's Balotelli, it very likely would have been 1-0 Liverpool.

But you just don't know how a player with a history of alienating his team will do. Some of them find teams that make them comfortable, and/or mellow with age. Some don't.

Yes... that was a nice routine but why to Hendo of all people I don't know... Raheem, Coutinho, Sturridge were all on the pitch!

Looking forward to the weekend. Expect a tough game compared to last season but you won't be capable of the control City had. If we cut out the mistakes we should take points... but that's a huge IF.

How will we faire in the group the HIAG?

Last place with -15 GD I take it?

I think you're going to be fighting with Ludo for 3rd spot, personally.

Regardless, I think it's fair to assume that you have at least three tonkings to endure. That's unfortunate, so early on in your European odyssey.

Former Liverpool frontman Robbie Fowler, 39, has made his big screen debut with a walk-on part in the film One Night In Istanbul.

I heard that the director of that movie had to lay out a line of coke to get Fowler to follow his cue.

Hmmm... I forget... what happened last time we met Real Madrid in the Champions League... I think we had a team with the likes of Dossenna then in it... I think we got destroyed 5-0 over two legs...

... no... wait... hold on... we won 5-0 over two legs! <laugh>

Not saying we'll destroy Real Madrid again... but we might get points off them. I'm predicting 2nd in the group- but I don't predict anyone will thrash us, nor will we thrash anyone else.

You'd have to fancy Madrid to win the group, but I can't see Liverpool getting knocked out in this round by the likes of Basel. Again... <whistle>

If the reports of Falcao joining Madrid are accurate, then I don't think that anyone will fancy facing a front four of Bale, Ronaldo, Rodriguez and the Colombian.
Bloody frightening, even if you don't have Glen Johnson in your defence.

Yes, but you conceded two goals at home to Havant & Waterlooville
