TBF I always thought kagawa was a decent player who was mismanaged but now not so sure.

as for last nights game, it really did mean a lot, essentially you lot are now left with only one realistic chance of a trophy and for a team of your stature that is clearly not good enough so early in the season.

and i am sorry but if last night did not hurt then you have to wonder what sort of fan you are.

It really doesnt. Its never good to lose of course but some defeats mean more than others. Very little effect on tye first team despite the media and rival fans saying otherwise.

The signing of di maria will be a huge boost. The first team will be focused on that.

obviously some defeats hurt more than others but if being knocked out in one your two possible trophies this season, actually scrub that not just knocked out but after your appalling start to the season you then see your team ( a good few who will play a lot this season) being outplayed and humiliated by a league one team, if that does not hurt just because it is the "unglamorous" league cup, then you really are a glory huntimng plastic that knows nothing of the joy of winning any trophy no matter what it is called.

see this is the issue..... deluded thinking.

see if the face rubbers and the first teams muck think that way then the first reverse as di maria has to settle in will mean yet more confidence shattered comments.

the issue is.... if you don't get midfielders and cbs... the first top side you play could hammer you

hell burnely could give you a game even... one player can't just be the boost. the whole staff and players have to pull together the lvg way and thats not seemingly important to you

One player can be a huge boost. Especially if on form.

The fact you suggest otherwise is nothing short of hilarious. Its as if last season didnt happen.

I get both MITO and UIR's side of the argument.

A big signing can be a massive boost for the players, but I think the difference here is he's joining at a time where LVG has just not got to grips with things, and that will be playing on the players minds which kind of cancels out the excitement of a big name joining. If LVG had come in and got a couple of wins under his belt, the players fans etc would have been happy and then boosted by Di Maria coming.

That hasn't happened, in fact the opossite has happened so although they may get a little boost they're still going to be pissed right off with the way they've started the season.

Last season we had one fantastic player in a team of good players. Even if Di Maria is all he is supposed to be he will still be a fantastic player having to play in a very poor team. I do not think he will prove to be that good, he will be decent but no Ronaldo, Messi or Suarez.
I think it will be next season before we see a half decent Utd side and that is only if they can stick with a manager for more than a season. LVG may walk as he has done in the past.

They might end up using the tactics of Frank de Boer when Suarez played for Ajax - he used to say to the team 'as soon as you get the ball, if possible give it to Suarez' <laugh> That's actually true!!

But like you say he's no Messi, Ronaldo, or Suarez - this could be the most frustrating season of football Di Maria has ever played. Only in 2 tournaments, and very unlikely to win either of them, also he's just signed for a team he didn't want to, as he wanted to stay at Real. Hope he's got a 60" Plasma so he can watch his mates play!!

Leeds manager ha been sacked after 6 games in charge. He was the guy that had only ever managed Forest Green Rovers before...

Can't think people didn't see that one coming <doh>

Owner said he nearly sacked him last week, but decided against it.... so did it a week later after losing to Bradford in Cup.

That club just seems to be a mess. Brian whatshisname got sacked then not sacked then sacked again last year...

He said "if i were to sck him then (last week) i'd have to sack myself as i appointed him"

he's got history, owns another club in Italy as well

He said that Leed would be bk in the Prem within 2 seasons I think it was

£8m for Cleverley

Fuck. Maybe I was wrong about Woodward. That's even better than £14m for Borini.
