What worries me most? Our midfield, other than Henderson who I think is one of our best players. His energy is wasted when there is passengers like Gerrard. Don't get me wrong he can have the odd good game, but he is a luxury most of the time. It doesn't help Henderson knowing the little Welsh twat is there too, I'm not the biggest fan of Lallana, but maybe thats what Henderson needs. Coutinho needs to play there otherwise. Rodgers got it all wrong on Monday.

As for this game, coming off a disappointing loss and Tottenham on a high. We have no right to win at their place, its a tough game.

    My team:

    -------------------Mignolet
    Manquillo---Skrtel---Lovren---Moreno
    ------------------Gerrard
    ---------Henderson---Coutinho
    --Sterling-------Sturridge------Markovic

That reminds me, can't stand Mignolet, a new keeper is a must. Its not for his ability, he can be a good shot stopper, but its how he slows the play up, holds on to the ball for minutes, it reminds me of Finnan taking a throw in. Just throw it ffs.

Other than that, I am entirely positive.

Lallana, Flanno and Skrtel could be back for Spurs; Agger and Johnson not first choice; Moreno injured

    Rodgers on Balotelli.

Rodgers could actually have a selection head ache here for midfield and attack.

Balotelli has arrived, Lallana and Markovic are now fit, Allen has just had two solid games and all the usual's are available to.

Gerrard will hold and Henderson will play box to box. You can assume Sturridge and Sterling will start to. But the rest is tougher. I see 1 of 3 systems being used.

    ------------Gerrard-------------
    ---Henderson-------xxxxxxxxxx--
    ------------Sterling-------------
    -----Sturridge----xxxxxxxxxx-----

    Two strikers.

    ------------Gerrard-------------
    ---Henderson-------xxxxxxxxxx--
    -Sturridge--xxxxxxxx--Sterling---

    Three up top.

    ------------Gerrard-------------
    ---Henderson-------xxxxxxxxxx--
    -xxxxxxxxx------------Sterling---
    -----------Sturridge-------------

    Wingers.

I'm guessing Lallana will probably be a sub, Balotelli I'm not sure.

Phuck it.. give Mario a go!
Can't drop Allen but on the first two games, can give Ford a "rest"

    ------------ Gerrard---------------
    --- Hendo ---------- Allen -------
    ----------- Sterling ---------------
    --- Sturridge --- Balotelli -------

Bench of Lambert, Lallana, Ford and Markovic, Sakho, Enrique, Jones if the Defence is Mankini ---- Skrtel ---- Lovern --- Flanagan/Moreno

Instead of looking at our injuries as a problem, I hope that BR considers the Spurs match as an opportunity to change the game from the bench and to look at using players as 'units' rather than individual replacements.

Coutinho should be playing as a part of the midfield trio, not the front 3. He looks so much better playing deeper.

Having said that, it means you have to pick 2 from Gerrard, Allen, Henderson and Can. And since Gerrard is unlikely to be dropped, you have to pick from Allen, Henderson and Can.

Would prefer to see Allen playing the deep role instead of Gerrard. But personally, I want us to buy William Carvalho.

    -------------Gerrard--------------

Let's try some creativity from both wings for a change. Coutinho can come on to provide central creativity in the second half.

That is far too attacking. Leaves a lot of work for an already leggy Gerrard to both cover the back four and distribute.

No, because Sterling and Markovic would be midfielders in that setup.

I don't mind Sundays because the games are on first thing in the morning (for me). Go upstairs into the bonus room whilst everyone is being quiet... drink some coffee and watch the game... good way to start a Sunday! <ok>

We are against Villa. Although it's 5:30 ko

It's because we're such a good team to watch, everyone wants us on TV so our games are moved to accommodate.
