Harry Redknappâs men were unfortunate not to take anything away from the opener against Steve Bruceâs side, but the manner of the display will surely have given the players confidence â like it has the supporters â that Rangers are better equipped for Premier League survival than they were two years ago. Rio Ferdinand, Steven Caulker and Jordon Mutch all made solid debuts for the Hoops, and Redknappâs squad has since been bolstered by the arrivals this week of Leroy Fer and Eduardo Vargas, although the latter will be unable to feature at White Hart Lane while he awaits international clearance. Mauricio Isla could make his debut for the Râs, however, after his international clearance came through on Thursday. Spurs will be making their third appearance in the space of eight days when they host the Râs on Sunday, having beaten AEL Limassol 2-1 on Thursday evening in the Europa League. After their 1-0 win at West Ham in their curtain raiser last Saturday with Eric Dierâs injury-time winner, Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to get off to the best possible start in his first home game in charge against the Râs. Kyle Naughton will be unavailable for selection owing to his early red card against the Hammers, while Kyle Naughton is a doubt through injury. please log in to view this image - - - please log in to view this image please log in to view this image PRE-MATCH TALK TOTTENHAM QPR QPR manager, Harry Redknapp: âIt's a good game to look forward to. âSpurs are a massive club, a good club. It will be nice to go back there and see some really good friends that I made during my time there, but it's a game we want to go and win. âI'm really looking forward to it.â Tottenham manager, Mauricio Pochettino: ""I have full respect for Harry Redknapp. He was born on the same day as me, March 2, so he is a special person too like me! "I know about Harry Redknapp, I have full respect for him and he was too the manager of Southampton as well as Tottenham. "I only found out that we shared a birthday because we played on March 2 against QPR in Southampton. "It was funny because he gave me a birthday present, a very good bottle of red wine. Very, very good." Great thread Nines! Looks like the game's being streamed on 11 foreign channels http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/2...qpr-worldwide-broadcast-schedule-1846493.aspx
Cheers Grif. Hopefully I can catch the game somewhere down here in Porto Santo. please log in to view this image
As all who have met him will attest, that is Nines. I don't think Fer will start tomorrow, some fitness questions.
It is indeed sir. As you can see I've defeated my anorexia*. I wasn't sure whether to put in Faurlin or Barton, but it may well be the case that they both start this one. I hope that Alejandro can find another slide rule pass to put Remy in, as he did for Zamora the last time we played there. Right thats me done, off out to eat and then on to a bar get thoroughly drunk. Back on here possibly for moans and groans tomorrow? *No offence to anyone who knows or has suffered from anorexia themselves.
Cheers nines. Really looking forward to this one as I missed the game last week. Going to have to watch myself as I'm sitting with the spuds! You've got Kyle Naughton missing the game twice, once for a red card and once through injury. Isn't it Kyle Walker who is injured?
Spurs are a massive club says Harry . You don't owe them anything Harry so why bother with such drivel.
Two Kyle Naughtons? One is enough to cause distress among our fans. I dread to think what would happen if we had two!
QPR: Green; Caulker, Ferdinand, Dunne; Traore, Mutch, Isla, Barton, Fer; Phillips, Remy. Subs: Murphy, Simpson, Wright-Phillips, Onuoha, Faurlin, Hoilett, Zamora. Austin not even a sub off too change my prediction
Anyone know why there is no Austin, not even on the bench? Surprised he is not there ahead of Zamora...could he be on his way or have I missed something?
